Fear Effect Sedna is a flawed return for the late PS1-era classic, with its combat occasionally being a bit clunky and not utilizing the tactical elements as well as it wanted to. But the creepy descent into Inuit horror, stylish graphics, and challenging puzzles and gameplay may still provide you with enough reasons to take a peek at it. And even with a few kinks to iron out, it still shows that there’s still a place for Hana and company in gaming today, regardless of the exact genre, so here’s hoping future journeys with them improve on things even further (and that the upcoming remake causes interest to continue spiking).

Fear Effect Sedna is proof creativity can’t always overcome poor execution. The game is often quite enjoyable, but the inspired moments can be difficult to appreciate amidst Sedna’s mishandled nostalgia, ill-considered mechanics, and sometimes-wonky level design. Those willing to ride out the rough patches (or just hungry from some early-2000s cheese) may want to give the game a try, but I’m afraid I don’t see this being the Fear Effect franchise’s big comeback.

A pesar de no destacar ni por su combate ni por sus mecánicas de sigilo, Fear Effect Sedna es una resurreción bastante satisfactoria de una franquicia que creíamos muerta por sus rompecabezas, trama y personajes.

Fear Effect Sedna riesce a rispolverare gli ingredienti chiave del successo dei precedenti capitoli della serie. Propone al giocatore una storia da agire, non soltanto da seguire, resa vivace da personaggi sopra le righe immersi in situazioni dalle tinte scure. A tutto questo si affianca un sistema di gioco impegnativo ma mai frustrante, che premia l'approccio tattico alle varie situazioni proposte. La durata non elevata del titolo, considerata l'assenza di modalità aggiuntive oltre alla storia principale, gioca un po' a sfavore, assieme a dei controlli a tratti macchinosi.

Malgré ses quelques défauts visuels, et ses environnements un peu trop vides, Sword Art Online : Fatal Bullet nous propose une aventure d’une longueur et d’un intérêt conséquents. Respectant la trame de l’anime et nous offrant la présence des figures emblématiques de ce dernier, le joueur ne se retrouvera pas trop déboussolé devant ce nouveau soft. Bien qu’un peu trop basique, la création de personnage reste la bienvenue et permet de s’immerger un peu plus dans cette épopée, au rythme des balles, qui fendent l’air. Pour les nouveaux arrivants comme pour les fans de la licence ou de l’anime d’origine, cet opus est savamment pensé pour permettre à tous d’y trouver leur compte. Facile à comprendre, tant dans le scénario que dans les mécaniques, c’est une porte ouverte à toute personne souhaitant tenter sa chance.

Las grandes sensaciones que nos dejó Superhot, mejoran en realidad virtual. El juego de Piotr Iwanicki es un rompecabezas con aspecto de FPS, que nos obliga a pensar cómo salir de cada situación antes de mover un músculo. Lástima de su escasa duración y variedad.

Into the Breach si è rivelato una bella sorpresa. Uno strategico che, prendendo le distanze dall'eccessiva natura casuale di Faster Than Light, è stato capace di costruire un gameplay focalizzato sulla crescita dell'abilità tattica del giocatore, più che sul potenziamento dei soldati in gioco. Questo crea una struttura di gioco particolarmente tattica e ben fatta, rovinata soltanto in parte da qualche problema di bilanciamento principalmente fuori dalle missioni. Nel complesso, un buon titolo che vi regalerà numerose ore di strategia, divertimento e imprecazioni.

Los momentos de acción son muy divertidos y bien ejecutados, pero las opciones tácticas se quedan cortas y el cambio de cámara en los movimientos rompe el ritmo. Es corto, pero repetiremos, y se agradece su enfoque multijugador.
