Unfortunately The Seven Deadly Sins: Knights of Britannia just doesn’t do justice to the series at all. There are a few hours of fun to be had here, certainly, but even dedicated fans will find that it doesn’t last long enough. Repetitive battles and shallow combat just don’t keep things interesting for long enough, even if there are several characters to use. Add a point to the score if you're a fan, remove one if you don't know what SDS is.

Dynasty Warriors 9 es un agradable nuevo enfoque para una fórmula demasiado explotada y que, gracias al nuevo mundo abierto, se asemeja en cierta medida a los Action-RPG mezclados con sandbox. Sin embargo, pese a que su sistema de combate está mejorado, es ese toque musou de enfrentarnos contra cientos de enemigos de forma simultánea el que no acaba de calar por estos lares, ya que la cantidad acaba por lastrar la calidad de los combates con fallos sobre todo de IA. De hecho, con el paso de las horas es más satisfactorio ir a un lugar de caza a enfrentarnos contra difíciles bestias que hacerlo contra un grupo de humanos que se van a quedar quietos a merced de nuestra hoja.

Dynasty Warriors 9 si rivela un discreto open world: ai difetti storici della serie, tuttavia, se ne affiancano altri tipici del genere. I vari combattimenti risultano un po' troppo diluiti e frammentati, e le numerose azioni da compiere non sono mai davvero approfondite, puntando più sulla mera quantità. Il risultato è un coraggioso passo in avanti per la serie, che però rischia di perdere la sua identità se gli sviluppatori, in futuro, non si focalizzeranno sulla solidità e qualità del gameplay.

The Fall Part 2: Unbound non si discosta poi molto dal primo episodio, riproponendo una formula riuscita di punta e clicca, narrazione filosofica, ambientazione sci-fi/cyberpunk e sezioni action-platform in stile Metroid. Il risultato, seppur spiazzante e non privo di difetti (le fasi metroidiane continuano a convincere poco), è tutto sommato positivo sia per chi già conosce la serie, sia per chi si avvicina per la prima volta a questo bizzarro ma affascinante mix di generi.

Ma il gioco vale la candela? Se si è completati il primo, assolutamente si. Se il cliffangher finale del prequel non vi è andato per nulla giù, grazie a questo The Fall Part 2: Unbound potremo finalmente portare avanti una storia che ha ancora molto da raccontare, sperando di non dover aspettare altri 5 anni per il terzo capitolo.

Crossing Souls is one of the most disappointing games I've played where something wasn't broken or technically flawed. Fourattic relies far too much on nostalgia, hoping that rehashing gameplay mechanics and storytelling of the 80's alone will make this a good game - but it can't and it doesn't.

Though it comes with a few control quirks and team AI quibbles, Aegis Defenders is still an engaging experience that marries two unlikely genres together in smart and clever ways.
