Super Bomberman R 2 is a triumphant and feature-rich return for the explosive icon. The new Castle mode brings some interesting twists to the classic formula (though the level editor feels like it could use a little more work) while all the chaotic arcade gameplay that’s carried this series for 40 years proves to be just as compelling as it’s always been. Pair that addictive gameplay with an extensive multiplayer suite and lots of unlockables, and you’ve got something that’s easy to recommend to anyone looking for the next great multiplayer release to break out on game night. It’s a little less easy to recommend if you intend on playing entirely solo—the single-player offering is a bit thin here—but the endless replayability of the online component makes it a great pick otherwise.

Al pari del predecessore, Super Bomberman R 2 è un titolo ambizioso; più del predecessore, tenta strade nuove e inventa, con la giusta dose di follia propria di una produzione il cui protagonista è un bombarolo stilizzato, una serie di possibilità curiose e tutto sommato efficaci. È la cura di queste proposte a non convincere pienamente, oltre alla loro realizzazione tecnica, dato che il caos a schermo può anche non infastidire una larga fetta del pubblico. Il Castello è interessante, ma l'editor non particolarmente intuitivo e i puristi continueranno a preferire la modalità di gioco standard; la campagna in singolo è sempre gradita, ma i livelli sono spogli e si completa, in fondo, in una manciata di ore; le nuove armi come il raggio laser degli Ellon sono efficaci, ma alcune anche troppo rispetto ad altre. Forse, a volte, la chiave del successo non risiede nella filosofia "più ce n'è, meglio è", quanto in "poco ma buono". Se non la pensate come noi, per favore non lanciateci contro una bomba. Perché Super Bomberman R 2 è comunque un buon gioco, e dovreste dargli una possibilità.

Super Bomberman R2 è il ritorno di una serie classica intramontabile, ma che aggiunge un pizzico di pepe in più rispetto al suo predecessore, con modalità multigiocatore online e non davvero succose. La modalità Castle e il nuovo editor di livelli sono la punta di diamante, tra sfide ostiche e stimolazione della fantasia.

Per la gioia dei fan il gioco supporta in pieno il cross-play tra le diverse piattaforme. Un titolo che offre davvero tantissimo divertimento, sia in solitaria che in multiplayer locale, in stile anni novanta, che soprattutto nelle battaglie online. Oltre alle tre modalità già note spicca la grande novità della variante Castello, che vi terrà letteralmente incollati allo schermo. Firewall Ultra simultaneously feels like two steps forward and two steps backward. It somehow does just as much right – and wrong – as Firewall: Zero Hour, a VR game that is now over five years old. While its shooting and tactical teamwork feel, look, and sound better than ever, its content is limited and it’s filled with questionable uses of new tech like eye tracking. What it all adds up to is a decent competitive multiplayer shooter that just happens to be in VR, but its awkward controls are a shot in the foot rather than the shot in the arm that the PlayStation VR2 desperately needed.

Gunbrella is one of the most unique 2D action platformers that I have ever played, simply because of the crazy weapon that you use to explore and defeat enemies. There is some backtracking here and challenging enemies to face, but the mysterious story keeps you engaged.

Eternights is an enjoyable action RPG full of crude humour, lovestruck teens, and monstrous abominations out to kill you. Easy to recommend for any anime fan looking for their next adventure.

Eternights deftly captures the essence of growing up, as told through the motions of an action-packed JRPG. Through its storyline and dialogue, the game manages to weave life into this classic genre with the aid of modern-day meme jokes and ‘anime humour’. Its simple but effective combat system, and a smattering of puzzles and mini-games, are entertaining enough to keep you hooked as you watch the plot unfold. Eternights showcases a level of complexity and refinement that is impressive, especially for Studio Sai’s debut title.

Il y a pire que Persona 5 à aller chercher côté influence, mais Eternights ne fait que nous rappeler que le jeu d’Atlus est à part. Il n’a évidemment jamais l’intention de rivaliser avec et il faut rappeler qu’une toute petite équipe est à l’œuvre derrière, mais on ressent parfois que le jeu ne va pas au bout de ses idées et tombe dans le mimétisme, en s’intéressant davantage à la forme de ses influences plutôt qu’à leur fond. En résulte un jeu d’action imparfait mais pas désagréable pour autant, qui aurait sans doute mérité plus de moyens pour aller au bout de ses ambitions.
