Jagged Alliance 3 has many ups and downs but I ultimately came away frustrated, especially with the combat and the over complicated controls. There is potential there but I’m not sure I can wait around another 24 years to see that potential flourish.

n juego tan legendario como Flashback merecía un regreso muy superior a esta aventura que, sí, tiene algunas buenas ideas y pasión por la ciencia ficción, pero también un acabado muy pobre en lo técnico y en el diseño de juego.

Siendo fan del original, pero aunque no lo fuera, no puedo recomendar Flashback 2. Nada en él funciona. Ni el diseño ni el movimiento tosco y animaciones del personaje. Las plataformas tan interesantes de su primera parte brillan por su ausencia mientras que la deriva hacia la acción no lo hace mejor, con unos disparos imprecisos y nada divertidos. Técnicamente, el juego no funciona bien ni en términos de resolución ni de framerate. Y, por si fuera poco, tiene una cantidad de bugs que hace imposible terminar el juego. Por su importancia y legado, es uno de los mayores desastres que he jugado últimamente.

Realms of Ruin es diversión con peros. No quiere competir con Dawn of War o Starcraft, pero a la vez sí codearse con ellos. Consigue ser un buen juego de estrategia de Games Workshop, lejos del estilo Total War, y con una campaña que denota mimo y cariño. Aun así, Age of Sigmar es, quizá, el mejor-peor lore al que aventurarse. No ha despegado y eso juega una mala pasada tanto mediática como jugablemente.

Oui, Hogwarts Legacy est un vibrant hommage à l'univers d'Harry Potter et est sans doute à l'heure actuelle le meilleur jeu adapté de cette licence. Le travail de l'équipe d'Avalanche Software, pourtant loin d'être rompu à l'exercice est exceptionnel. Il permet aux fans de plonger dans des environnements familiers reconstitués avec une minutie impeccable. Mais passées ces quelques heures d'éblouissement, Hogwarts Legacy retombe dans un open world de facture moyenne, dont les redondances du gameplay apparaissent assommantes, à l'image du backseat de votre personnage, symptomatique des productions qui se veulent accessibles au plus grand nombre.

Roller Coaster Tycoon Adventures Deluxe is like a county fair. Sure they have some rides and the fairground is decent, but its nothing compared to the official amusement parks and hotspots that were its predecessors. The game comes off empty and shallow, more like a walkthrough for somebody’s first tycoon sim. The game shows little to no consequence while spoon feeding players which in turn gives it no self accomplishment or overall purpose.

Même si les derniers volets des séries Paper Mario et Mario & Luigi ont réussi à pousser le délire encore plus loin, ces jeux n’auraient jamais vu le jour si Super Mario RPG n’avait pas défriché le concept en 1996. Ce remake permet de comprendre les clés de cette improbable fusion entre l’univers du plombier et les codes du jeu de rôle japonais. Retravaillé afin de se rendre plus moderne et accessible à tous les publics, il constitue une excellente porte d’entrée à un genre qui rebute encore une partie des joueurs.

Proposant un récit nous tenant en haleine de bout en bout, un univers dystopique à la fois fascinant, terrifiant et immersif, un game et level design bien huilés et pensés, ainsi qu’une durée de vie honnête pour le genre et adaptée à l’expérience conçue par Out of the Blue, American Arcadia est un très bon jeu d’aventure façon The Truman Show. Tout comme l’était Call of the Sea en 2020, ce titre est une pépite indépendante comme on les aime. Un vrai plaisir !

Teardown è un progetto davvero affascinante: tanto impegnativo e intelligente da giocare, quanto sopraffino dal punto di vista tecnico e grafico. Nemmeno il sonoro delude, ma senza alcun dubbio il suo punto vero punto di forza è nella sensazionale fisica. Gli unici limiti si nascondono in una campagna che meriterebbe una struttura più elaborata, e nei compiti che potrebbero essere molto più variegati di quelli al momento proposti. Inoltre, per un gioco che permette di distruggere ogni cosa Teardown è anche piuttosto cerebrale, e la difficoltà sale pure velocemente. Se però l'idea di un "action puzzle game" vi stuzzica, possiamo assicurarvi che impazzirete anche per questo gioco che oltretutto è stato completamente tradotto in italiano.

Teardown Teardown, inutile negarlo, è una produzione decisamente affascinante. La possibilità di plasmare integralmente con le proprie azioni il mondo di gioco è un concetto appannaggio di pochissimi altri titoli. Tuxedo Labs segna dunque, in questo senso, un grande traguardo per le produzioni indipendenti regalando una sperimentazione gratificante e stratificata. Al tempo stesso, le componenti più squisitamente ludiche non sono altrettanto ammalianti anche a causa di una immediatezza non sempre ideale. Il risultato è un titolo tanto divertente quanto suscettibile di diventare velocemente noioso a seconda della vostra risposta alla domanda: quanto vi piace la distruzione? PRO Tecnicamente e graficamente solido | Le meccaniche legate alla distruzione funzionano bene e sono divertenti | Le modalità presenti garantiscono una longevità potenzialmente elevata | CONTRO Non aspettatevi una grande narrativa dalla campagna | A volte la fisica non risponde come vi aspettereste | Se la distruzione non è tutto per voi, potreste annoiarvi dopo qualche ora |

If you’ve already played genre leaders like Blasphemous 2 or Bloodstained, then I see no problem spending some time in the dark and largely derivative world of The Last Faith. I don’t think you’ll leave its samey dungeons or lackluster boss fights with a new favorite action game on your list, but navigating the maze of different areas and busting their big ugly masters is challenging and satisfying. The smattering of spells look fun and the collection weapons is genuinely cool with special abilities that are a blast to let loose, I just wish this game gave you more space to experiment without having to trade combat effectiveness. All that said, The Last Faith is not the pinnacle of what this sort of game has to offer by any stretch, and there are plenty of amazing ones I’d recommend that you play before crossing this one off of your list.

A lot of what Inescapable tries to do sounds fantastic on paper, but the game is not clever enough to pull it off, leaving a lot of unfortunate wasted potential. Avid visual novel fans will maybe enjoy how much content is on offer, but to anyone else, this game is difficult to recommend.
