Ora che le fondamenta ci sono e i fanatici della gara dell'Isola di Mann sono contenti, gli sviluppatori hanno l'opportunità di trasformare il loro videogioco da punto di arrivo a punto di ingresso nel mondo del Tourist Trophy. Per come è attualmente strutturato, TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 3 è la destinazione ideale per chi ama la gara e, dopo averla seguita dal vivo, vuole ritrovare le stesse emozioni in digitale. Con l'aggiunta di una modalità carriera, di un tutorial ben strutturato o addirittura di una modalità storia (un tributo alla leggenda dello sport John McGuinness sarebbe perfetto) questo gioco potrebbe trasformarsi in un'esperienza simulativa aperta a tutti i fan delle corse digitali e persino portarli a seguire la gara reale in futuro. Per le sue ambizioni esportive, poi, un'esperienza che spieghi il circuito pezzo dopo pezzo per memorizzare velocità, angoli di piega, marce e gestione dei freni, sarebbe l'ideale per avvicinare chi è alla ricerca della perfezione alla mentalità necessaria a competere. Il potenziale c'è e le fondamenta (dopo qualche ritocco alla traiettoria) sono solide, ora la palla passa a Raceward Studio che può scegliere di reiterare un buon prodotto tecnico o allargare la sua utenza inserendo modalità, sezioni e spiegazioni per chi ha voglia di imparare a conoscere il mondo della corsa di moto più emozionante e pericolosa al mondo.

TT Isle of Man Ride on the Edge 3 è il titolo dedicato al torneo su due ruote più pericoloso esistente al mondo. Il suo gameplay riesce a divertire e mantenere incollati allo schermo, nonostante un piccolo muro per chi è abituato ad altri motorsport. La presenza del free roaming è ben integrata con alcuni eventi e con la possibilità di avere tutta la mappa per poter imparare a mantenere il controllo della moto. Peccato per la grafica non al top, ma le performance sono solide e alla fin fine si va talmente veloci che non si ha il tempo di osservare l’ambientazione nel dettaglio, ciononostante sarebbe stato possibile spingere ancora di più quest’aspetto per renderlo ancora più bello da vedere, dato che è fantastico da giocare.

Interesting turn-based RPG combat keeps Darkest Dungeon 2’s roguelite progression fresh for hours – if you can push past the early, intentionally punishing humps and like it for what it is, rather than the close retread of Darkest Dungeon that it isn't. Its structure may be frustratingly random at times, even so much as to feel meaningless or pointless, but a gambler's spirit can see you through those weird patches of bad luck or directionlessness. Besides, this game would have to be really bad to drag down the vibes of the moody lines and grumbling narration that live at the heart of Darkest Dungeon 2.

The Legend of Zelda : Tears of the Kingdom est un nouveau chef d’oeuvre qui fait passer Breath of the Wild, un des meilleurs jeux de tous les temps, pour un brouillon. En suivant les traces de son prédécesseur, il n’est plus une “révolution” certes, mais il parfait l’expérience du joueur dans une dimension épique qui n’a pas de pareil. La sensation de liberté, l’impression de vivre sa propre aventure sans contrainte, ce sont les grandes forces d’un jeu à la durée de vie absolument exceptionnelle. Tears of the Kingdom se découvre au fil du temps, petit à petit, à tel point qu’il aura encore des choses à nous révéler pendant des années. C’est un bijou d’une pureté absolue et définitivement, l’aventure avec un grand A.

Si dice che la perfezione non esista, ma The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom è la cosa che più si avvicina a questa definizione. Perché la storia dei videogiochi non ha mai visto un mondo con tre livelli di esplorazione da vivere con una fluidità sconcertante, da esplorare con un gameplay che offre una vera libertà totale senza opprimere il giocatore con il proverbiale imbarazzo della scelta ma, al contrario, supportando come mai prima d’ora ogni sua intenzione. Tears of the Kingdom risponde ad ogni trascurabile stortura del suo predecessore con una quantità soverchiante di idee, proposte ludiche e contesti narrativi, tutti elegantemente incastonati in un mosaico di meraviglia a tratti inimmaginabile. Un sequel semplicemente perfetto, che ravviva la brace della creatività accesa da Breath of the Wild per alimentare una luce che illuminerà svariate generazioni a venire.

On commence The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom la tête dans les nuages et, à vrai dire, on ne les quitte jamais vraiment, même quand on retrouve la terre ferme, même quand on éteint la console. Nintendo prenait un risque, en osant offrir une suite à un chef-d’œuvre ayant mis tout le monde d’accord. C’était sans compter le savoir-faire de l’entreprise, qui parvient à réinventer suffisamment sa réinvention. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom est un jeu vidéo caméléon articulé autour d’un gameplay profond (quoiqu’un peu complexe) et d’un contenu à la densité abyssale. Il est cette somme de tout ce qu’on a adoré dans The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, agrémenté d’évolutions qui s’intègrent avec un naturel déconcertant. Nintendo a encore tué le game, c’est aussi simple que ça.

En terminant, le meilleur résumé que je peux faire de mon expérience avec The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, c’est le suivant. On n’a pas l’effet de surprise de découvrir un tout nouveau Zelda révolutionnaire comme ce fût le cas avec Breath of the Wild. Le jeu était initialement planifié comme un DLC avant de prendre tellement d’ampleur jusqu’à devenir une suite et ça paraît. J’ai eu le même sentiment en comparant God of War (2018) avec sa suite parue l’an dernier. À mon avis, ce n’est pas du tout une mauvaise chose. C’est plus de ce qu’on a aimé du premier avec assez de nouveautés pour accrocher encore le joueur et une meilleure histoire. Bref, c’est assurément un titre que je recommande fortement pour ceux qui ont aimé le premier et c’est une autre grande aventure qui vaut le détour.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom sticks closely to the blueprint established by The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, but it’s a richer, more rewarding game in most ways that count, offering a more intricate world, versatile suite of abilities, epic story, and satisfying dungeons. The familiarity of this Hyrule and a handful of frustrating sections keep Tears of the Kingdom from feeling quite as surprising and magical as its predecessor, but make no mistake, the wait has been worth it. While it probably behooves Nintendo to carve out an entirely new Legend next, Link’s latest should fill most fans’ heart meters nicely in the meantime.

Non mi sento di punire troppo severamente The Last Case of Benedict Fox, che rimane un titolo sicuramente di nicchia e non adatto a tutti, ma che dalla sua ha una bella atmosfera, un’esplorazione non facile ma soddisfacente ed enigmi tosti, pur peccando in due elementi di gameplay non proprio secondari in un metroidvania come combattimento e sezioni platform. Ne esce insomma un ibrido che non ha mantenuto tutte le ottime premesse suscitate in sede di anteprima, ma che riesce a superare agilmente la sufficienza e a offrire una longevità di tutto rispetto.

TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 3 seems to focus more specifically on the technical aspect of the bikes while touching up other areas. The physics are improved and realistic, which also leads to a hard learning curve. Upgrading the bike through the Seasons is key for not only more success, but also overall enjoyability of the game itself. Atrocious visuals and the lack of life on the track hamper the overall experience of the game, though. The best way to experience TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 3 is on the PS5 to guarantee the DualSense works, as on PC I don’t have a way to verify if that works or not. Cruising the island can be fun, but I’d rather just take my actual bike out for a more satisfying experience. Having a virtual group to ride with on the island and race with would have upped this “open world” racer. It also retails for $49.99, which even at a discount, is asking a bit much.

Homestead Arcana is a surface level farm-life sim/adventure game that can be best described as a vegetable that is too misshapen to be sold in the grocery store on its own. Rather bound up with the other ‘rejects’ for a cheaper price.

Mato Anomalies ist ein interessantes JRPG mit vielen guten Ideen. In der Umsetzung scheitern diese daran, dass die Abwechslung der unterschiedlichen Spielelemente nicht reicht, damit die rund 20 Stunden nicht monoton wirken. Natürlich ist eine schlechte Lokalisierung und die mangelnde Leistungsfähigkeit auf der Switch besonders ärgerlich. Aber selbst auf Englisch und auf der PlayStation 5 wirkt Mato Anomalies nicht wirklich zeitgemäß und erreicht eben nur Mittelmaß — sowohl unter JRPGs als auch unter Visual Novels oder Detektivspielen. Besonders positiv möchte ich aber die einzigartige Atmosphäre hervorheben, die durch das Design und das wirklich gelungene Kampfsystem geschaffen wird. JRPG-Fans können einen Blick darauf werfen, wenn sie ein wenig Frische und neue Ideen im Genre vermissen. Von der Switch-Version solltet ihr leider in jedem Fall die Finger lassen.

Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster est compétent dans ce qu’il tente d’accomplir et les jeux sont très beaux sur les résolutions récentes. Le jeu est une copie presque fidèle outre que pour certains moments clés qui ont été retravaillés pour vraiment faire briller le remaster. Surtout, la version console est un port direct de ce qui était déjà disponible sur PC et mobile. Malheureusement, quand on regarde l’effort qui a été mis dans Octopath Traveler et Triangle Strategy, c’est difficile de vouloir remettre encore de l’argent pour une trame sonore remastérisée et de bien beaux effets pour la magie. Si les remasters avaient eu le traitement de leurs contemporains, on se retrouverait probablement avec une expérience plus qu’incroyable. Au final, on se retrouve avec une énième édition d’un jeu qui montre son âge et surtout, demande une somme déraisonnable pour ce qui est livré.
