Gotham Knights è l’esperimento di Warner Bros Games per portare anche i supereroi DC sul territorio dell’open world RPG. Considerato il retaggio della gloriosa serie di Arkham, tuttavia, il risultato è un’opera abbastanza controversa: un parco giochi digitale per chi vive di fumetti di Batman e un buon sistema di diversificazione per i quattro eroi giocabili non giustificano pienamente una formula in cui la quantità sovrasta la qualità. Il mondo aperto che fa da teatro alle peripezie di Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin e Cappuccio Rosso è tradizionale e ripetitivo, mentre l’afflato ruolistico - per quanto stimolante a livello di progressione - diventa fin troppo soverchiante per il ritmo narrativo e ludico della produzione. In generale, le maggiori divergenze rispetto all’epopea di Arkham risultano in parte il principale limite dell’opera. Pur divertendo, i Cavalieri di Gotham non sembrano ancora al livello del loro mentore...

Gotham Knights n'était pas sorti qu'il décevait déjà et ce test ne fait que confirmer les craintes des fans, c'est un énorme gâchis. Une franchise forte, le concept audacieux de créer un Gotham sans Batman, une ambition louable de rendre le jeu exclusif aux console de dernière génération, sur le papier ce jeu avait tout pour séduire. Malheureusement, le résultat n'y est pas, tant sur la forme que sur le fond.

While Signalis won’t be leading to a full-on fifth-gen survival horror renaissance, if only because some of the genre’s past sins still linger, it still delivers an enjoyable adventure that perfectly captures the feel of the classic era while also doubling down on more detailed cosmic horrors and twisted visuals, capped off with some sturdy combat and impressive puzzle design. Those in the mood for a quick yet quality-filled horror game should check out Signalis, as it delivers welcome sci-fi scares.

Malgré le choix de la facilité sur l’histoire, The Valiant est un titre intéressant qui a beaucoup à offrir. Le titre est fluide, tourne très bien et propose une aventure plaisante et immersive. On se plaît à parcourir les missions, ainsi qu’à rencontrer de nouveaux personnages. Le travail et le soin apportés aux détails et la qualité du doublage font que le titre est une réussite. L’ambiance est prenante et l’on ne peut qu’espérer voir plus de jeux du genre sortir.
