It’s clear Power Rangers: Dino Thunder will only attract young fans of the television show. Dino Thunder’s overall lack of depth, difficulty and graphical pizzazz will forever delegate it to your little brother’s (or sister’s) game shelf. Parents should pick it up if they want to a game easy enough for their little kids. Hey, if 19 bucks will buy silence and peace of mind for weary parents, it’s quite a steal.

With a lack of presentation values, an engine that not only looks bad but also is the main cause of serious construction problems, and AI that could use a serious overhaul, Locomotion has too many problems for any serious recommendation. There's plenty of content, scenarios to keep diehard fans with blinders on interested. There's even multiplayer mode with either Gamespy or TCP/IP connect only (which I never would have found it if not for the manual) that's only appeal is the chance to play against an unpredictable human opponent. Good luck finding a game over Gamespy, I couldn't. The world has kept moving along with technology to allow players friendlier and more entertaining game experiences. It would have benefited this "spiritual successor" to Transport Tycoon to have jumped on that train. Frankly, I can only imagine that players who have gotten used to working around Transport Tycoon's flaws will be able to forgive Locomotion for its inadequacies.

True, spending hours solving puzzles and reading page after page of journal entries isn't everyone's bag. But for those who love Myst and everything it represents, the latest iteration in the series is what they live for. It addresses many of the issues which plagued earlier installments, mainly the mind-detonating difficulty of Riven, and strikes a balance between the logical and the obscure. It delves deeper into mythos of the Myst universe through a captivating story while still providing enough cushion for beginners. It's also one of the most visually stunning and aurally pleasing adventure games, since, well, ever.

Avec Duel Masters : Sempai Legends, la GBA se dote d'un nouveau jeu axé sur les duels de cartes. Puisant certaines idées dans les règles de Magic : l'Assemblée, ce titre ne parvient malheureusement pas à nous séduire autant que le concurrent Yu-Gi-Oh!, et seuls les fans de la série y trouveront leur compte. Les amateurs de duels de cartes peuvent toutefois tenter l'expérience pour découvrir un autre style d'affrontements par créatures interposées.

Colin McRae Rally 2005 liefert bewährte Qualität – bei diesem Spiel weiß man einfach, was man hat. Das Problem ist nur, dass mittlerweile die Konkurrenz ziemlich stark ist: Richard Burns Rally bietet knüppelharten Realismus samt toller Fahrschule, Xpand Rally dreht Colin grafisch eine lange Nase. Klar, der neue Schotte sieht besser aus als je zuvor, aber kann im Vergleich nur in Sachen Fahrzeug- und Schadensmodell punkten. So bleibt letzten Endes ein sehr gutes Rallye-Spiel mit motivierendem Karrieremodus, das euch aber die Wahl nicht einfach macht. Jedoch: Ein bisschen zu innovationsarm, ein bisschen zu konservativ – gerade angesichts der aufmüpfigen Rivalen wäre etwas mehr Mut zum Neuen seitens der Entwickler wünschenswert.
