There is little left to say, except that you should already own both of these. And if you don't, Rockstar has just made it easier and cheaper to do. Now, do the smart thing and buy this PS2 bundle, for God's sake. The only reason you might hesitate is if you own an Xbox, in which case, by paying $10 more, you can acquire the bundle with slightly enhanced graphics, shinier stuff and hands that look less like G.I. Joe's Kung Fu grip. Scoring this game, I should add, is a weird thing. Especially when it comes to scoring two games with one overall score. I have used the highest score of the two games, because both games together, at this price, logically and by all other means, warrant it.

EA ci regala una sorpresa inaspettata. Freedom Fighters si presenta come un prodotto particolarmente godibile ed a tratti incredibilmente emozionante, grazie alla sapiente miscela di azione e strategia – quest’ultima appena accennata a dire il vero – e allo spunto di partenza da cui prende il via tutta la vicenda (un storia alternativa e l’espansione a livello mondiale del potere “rosso”). L’inclusione di una vera e propria modalità cooperativa avrebbe fornito un valore aggiunto di incredibile spessore e l’implementazione della modalità multiplayer non è stata sufficiente a sopperire a tale mancanza. Freedom Fighters resta, comunque, un titolo raccomandabile ai più, anche se l’utente alla ricerca di un prodotto particolarmente evoluto dal punto di vista tattico dovrebbe rivolgere le proprie attenzioni verso altri lidi.

Add a few more cars, clean up the visuals a bit, keep the same horrid gameplay and strip it of the online element and what do you get? Auto Modellista for the GameCube, a rushed port that obviously was released to cash in on a few desperate bucks.
