Among Us VR porta il fenomeno videoludico del 2020 in una nuova dimensione, che se da un lato è meno ricca di contenuti (c’è solo una mappa per ora), dall’altro aggiunge un grado di immersività visiva e sonora in grado di fare la differenza. Un acquisto consigliato sia a chi già conosce a menadito il gioco, sia a chi non ha mai trascorso ore a incolpare altri giocatori o a cercare di farla franca.

Nothing about Tactics Ogre: Reborn is simple, but therein lies the charm.

Nonostante siano trascorsi diversi decenni dal suo esordio sul mercato, Tactics Ogre continua a essere uno dei migliori esponenti del genere strategico e la nuova riedizione confezionata da Square Enix ha saputo incrementare non poco la scorrevolezza dell’esperienza. Seppur con qualche eccezione, gli accorgimenti apportati all’impasto ludico hanno saputo svecchiare il titolo dal sapore old-school, rendendolo appetibile anche agli occhi delle nuove generazioni. Per il rovescio della medaglia, però, il comparto tecnico non si difende altrettanto bene. Il nostro consiglio è dunque quello di fruirne sul piccolo schermo di Nintendo Switch, che proprio grazie alla portabilità saprà in parte mascherare l’età di una pietra miliare come Tactics Ogre.

The strategy RPG genre owes a lot to the Tactics Ogre franchise, which is filled with lesser titles trying to recreate even a fraction of its winning formula. The experience that lies at the heart of Tactics Ogre: Reborn has stood the test of time admirably and, thanks to the swathe of intelligent tweaks and quality-of-life improvements introduced, will likely remain at the head of the pack for years to come.

Tactics Ogre : Reborn est de retour sous son plus bel apparat. On aurait pu espérer bien plus pour ce titre culte. Le design 2D/3D dont SquareEnix à fait preuve dans d'autres opus tel qu'Octopath Traveler ou Triangle Strategy aurait été le bienvenu par exemple. Néanmoins, le titre n'arrive pas les mains dans les poches. Avec un sous-titrage français pour la première fois, et une amélioration de l'accessibilité du titre, cela devient un sacrilège de ne pas vous lancer dans Tactical RPG le plus culte de son genre. Foncez. : Reborn revient dans une version HD aux petits oignons. On aurait pu espérer plus. Malgré tout celai, le titre demeure encore aujourd'hui l'un des meilleurs T-RPG.

Tactics Ogre: Reborn is a seminal and still-enjoyable SRPG that manages to respectfully hold its own against the many descendants it now exists alongside. Though some elements of its design feel a little archaic, its deeply political and branching narrative, orchestrated soundtrack, and solidly built strategic combat all come together to make for a worthwhile experience. Visually, this version is disappointing, and we wouldn't say Reborn is one to rush out and buy immediately, but if you're a sucker for strategy and want to experience an influential classic with some mod cons thrown in, we'd suggest you keep this on your watchlist.

My primary gripe was with the method of delivery, but I think the beauty, and in this case frustration, of a game like this is the space is allows for your mind to settle. While arranging a stack of books or organising calendar stickers, you’re largely left with your own white noise and if the activity in front of you isn’t ready to catch the slack, the relaxing to tedium scale begins to tilt. A Little to the Left looks beautiful, sounds great and is generally a good time that could be great on the right hardware, but I’m still unsure if its inability to grab me was my own white noise being too loud, or something more fundamental about the game itself. The answer will more than likely depend on the person tilting those little digital items to the left in the first place.
