I fully expect Paradox Entertainment to address many of these issues of population growth, AI treaties, prestige, etc, over the next couple of months. They did it with EU2; they'll do it with Victoria. Unlike some developers, I don't expect them to leave us players high and dry as they move on to their next major title. If I were to assign an overall rating to a fully functional, well-patched, excellent-manual-enclosed Victoria, it might be an 8.5. But I can hardly give a rating to that final product when we weren't sent it for review. Like every critic at IGN, I've been caught out before by magnificent gaming concepts that failed to fully translate theory into practice. So while my ratings here are relatively low, they reflect the current state-of-game as I see it. Not good, no; but hardly irreparable. There's an excellent game struggling to surface in Victoria, and I look forward to playing it just as soon as the requisite patches appear. Now would some kindly soul please create an accurate, intelligent manual for the game?

Wer auf ein akkurates Physiksystem setzt oder gar eine ausufernde und gut erzählte Story will, ist mit Secret Weapons of Normandy falsch bedient. Wer hingegen auf kurzweilige Action mit clever designten Missionen und passabler KI abfährt, liegt mit dem Spiel genau richtig und wird auch kleinere Fehler im Spieldesign sicherlich verzeihen. Unter dem Strich zwar eine halbe bis dreiviertel Klasse schlechter als beispielsweise Crimson Skies auf der Xbox, bietet SWoN gute Unterhaltung in ansprechender, jedoch nicht herausragender Technik-Verpackung. Dass man allerdings mit keiner Version online gehen kann, werden Flugfans Lawrence Holland nicht so schnell vergessen. Da können auch die PC- bzw. Xbox-exklusiven Features wie Missions-Editor und Content-Downloads sowie die Zwei-Spieler-Modi der Konsolenfassungen nichts retten. Unter dem Strich ein unterhaltsamer Arcade-Flieger mit leichtem Simulationsansatz, der allerdings im Detail deutlich schlechter als die aktuelle Konkurrenz ist.

Honnêtement, ce soft possède un potentiel parvenant à attirer le regard, concernant son aspect spectaculaire et immédiatement accessible. Cependant pour de nombreuses raisons citées ci-dessus, il ne parvient pas à égaler dans le domaine médiatique du football, ce que NBA Street vol.2 a réussi à exécuter dans le monde non moins médiatisé du basket. Pas aussi polémique qu'un Conflict Desert Storm, ou un Manhunt, Urban Freestyle Soccer doit être approché en étant pleinement conscient de l'univers qu'il dépeint. Chacun possède une approche différente. A vous d'adapter la votre. Je conseille toutefois de l'essayer avant de l'acheter. Un bon jeu virtuellement parlant, qui aurait mérité un traitement autre. Si une séquelle s'en suit, exempte de ces défauts, vous aurez alors affaire à une expression de la qualité. En attendant.....
