Marvel Snap est la surprise inespérée de cet automne. Tout est bien conçu, bien huilée et parfaitement pensé pour le jeu mobile, avec des parties courtes qui s’enchaînent à n’en plus finir. Que l’on perde ou que l’on gagne, le jeu parvient toujours à nous récompenser et à éviter ainsi toute frustration, tandis que son modèle économique ne vous saute jamais au visage pour vous forcer à payer des variantes ou des avatars en plus. Bien que doté d’un contenu encore limité avec certaines fonctionnalités que l’on espère voir vite arriver, Marvel Snap nous tombe rarement des mains et fait opérer sa magie des heures durant. On en redemande, et on espère que le titre a un brillant avenir devant lui.

Het is Infinity Ward gelukt om een setting te creëren die zo regelrecht uit een actiefilm zou kunnen komen. Het verhaal kan dan wel ietwat voorspellend zijn, maar de acties, explosies en de diversiteit in de speelvormen zorgen ervoor dat je zelf nauw bij de vuurlinie zit en je echt betrokken voelt tot het team.

Met The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero kunnen we eindelijk meemaken hoe de legende van de Special Support Section werd geboren. Het bevat opnieuw een langzaam opbouwend, maar intrigerend verhaal, uitstekende worldbuilding en een diepgaand gevechtssysteem, wat ook dit weer een geweldige Trails-game maakt.

Aside from some brief moments of hair-pulling bewilderment, I remained totally delighted from beginning to end. If it had a bit stronger story (and a little more pep in its protagonist) the game could easily have established itself as an all-time classic of the genre, which in some ways is even more frustrating than its most confounding puzzles—it’s so close to greatness. Still, the fact that an adventure as original and imaginative as Voodoo Detective can come out in this day and age, embracing old-school techniques to look as good as it does—and all from a small, unheard-of studio on a presumably modest budget, no less—is really encouraging and bodes well for the future for more games of a similar throwback nature. It may have its share of bumps in the road, but Voodoo Detective is a joyful romp very much worth your time.

Broken Pieces c'est avant tout l'histoire d'un jeu qui disposait de plus d'ambitions que de moyens. Avec sa volonté de proposer une expérience de jeu à mi-chemin entre les prémices du survival-horror et le jeu d'aventures plus moderne, le titre aurait pu être une belle surprise s'il n'avait pas été plombé par ses combats trop lourds et ses bugs techniques omniprésents. On profite tout de même d'un scénario intéressant, d'un village breton bien modélisé et d'une poignée d'énigmes agréables à résoudre, pour un jeu globalement sympathique mais bourré d'imperfections.

Asterigos: Curse of the Stars fa tutto discretamente, ma niente realmente bene. Si tratta di una produzione all'atto pratico corposa, perché affianca a una narrazione estesa un impianto ludico ricco di caratteristiche interessanti. Alla sua apprezzabilissima volontà di essere facilmente fruibile, però, non riesce ad abbinare una buona complessità di fondo. La semplicità e l'immediatezza dei singoli elementi di gioco rappresentano spesso più un limite che un valore aggiunto, con l'avventura che non riesce proprio a scrollarsi di dosso quella sensazione di godibile ma inconsistente leggerezza.

Warhammer 40K: Shootas Blood & Teef is a great game if you are in for some mindless fun alongside your friends. Its variety of weapons can be fun to engage with. While its campaign is short, you can still find enjoyment in the PvP mode or try new weapons with your friends.
