Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles ravira sans doute les amateurs d’exploration pure mais un peu moins ceux en quête de narration et de variété au niveau du gameplay. Quoiqu’il en soit, la direction artistique ne laisse pas de marbre et l’île de Gemea est sans aucun doute l’un des plus beaux terrains de jeu que nous ayons pu arpenter cette année. Avec son système de troc et de craft, ce titre propose deux éléments rudimentaires qui collent parfaitement avec l’aventure proposée. Hélas, le rythme lent, le scénario de façade et l’intérêt quasi–nul de certaines missions pourront avoir raison de bien des joueurs. Yonder s’adresse avant tout à ceux qui aiment explorer, sans se préoccuper du reste.

Live A Live è un titolo difficile da giudicare, perché bisogna pensarlo nell'ottica di un remake che modernizza quasi soltanto il comparto tecnico di un gioco che, nel 1994, era sicuramente avveniristico e sperimentale su SNES, ma che nel 2022 paga il prezzo di un'ingenuità d'altri tempi. Resta un GDR d'ingresso che si distingue per la gran varietà di scenari e dinamiche di gameplay, e che potrebbe piacere a chi cerca un titolo contenuto, da sbocconcellare in attesa dei pezzi grossi, o vuole fare un tutto nel passato per crogiolarsi nella nostalgia.

All in all, Bright Memory Infinite might not quite live up to the hype it built up two years ago, but it’s still a solidly made and presented shooter. The action is fast and hectic, and the sword and glove powers are great fun to use and upgrade. A few niggles aside, you should consider checking this out if you’re after a bit of fun but brainless shooting.

Hell Pie is een 3D-platformer die zich in onze ogen richt op de volwassen gamers en dit vooral met door de humor en bloederig taferelen. Het is een aangename titel die je zoet houdt doorheen vier verschillende werelden.

In fin dei conti, Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium ricalca pedissequamente tutte le caratteristiche del predecessore, riproponendo 30 titoli che hanno fatto la storia del publisher senza però portare nulla di innovativo e vario: tra i titoli presenti, ad esempio, troviamo ben quattro iterazioni di Street Fighter e due di Darkstalkers. Sarebbe stato bello avere un roster di giochi diversi per genere e meglio equilibrati così da deliziare tutti i palati ma, ancora una volta, Capcom scommette tutto sui titoli di punta (varianti comprese) per questa seconda collection, che forse non era davvero così strettamente necessaria ma che farà battere il cuore degli amanti della nostalgia. Che non sono pochi.
