Sa patte graphique a beau avoir drastiquement changé (à raison), la saga Monkey Island conserve toute son aura chatoyante et délurée dans cet épisode, notamment grâce à une écriture toujours aussi maligne et à une bande-son vraiment fantastique. Return to Monkey Island est une aventure fraîche et moderne qui jouit d’une bonne balance entre nostalgie et nouveautés.

Nonostante i tanti anni sulle spalle, la saga creata da Ron Gilbert sembra avere ancora molto da raccontare. Con Return to Monkey Island, l'autore videoludico confeziona un'opera nostalgica, ma profondamente calata nella contemporaneità, che racconta con la consueta dose di sagacia ed ironia. Con un'ottima qualità di scrittura, l'avventura grafica regala agli amanti dei punta & clicca un'esperienza divertente e stracolma di enigmi da risolvere ricorrendo a fantasia, logica e attenta osservazione. Tra volti nuovi e familiari - con menzioni speciali per Murray e Stan - questo sequel anomalo ci ha regalato circa una decina di ore di intaccabile buonumore: nemmeno un buon boccale di grog avrebbe potuto fare di meglio.

Return to Monkey Island overflows with an abundance of fun, wit, and game design skill that is sharper than Stan’s wardrobe. More importantly, it exudes a passion for the art of designing and the act of playing adventure games like only the best in the genre do. While definitely not above criticism, I believe it behooves every fan of point-and-click adventures – especially those who dig the comedic side – to set aside their expectations and approach the experience with an open mind and open schedule. About 6-8 hours of open schedule, depending on how much dilly-dallying you do. Like a group of adorable swarthy cutthroats earnestly performing their favorite sea shanty, it wants nothing more than to entertain you. And if you let it, you will be.

Return to Monkey Island is a good modernization of a classic pirate tale, even if it overuses nostalgia. Its array of sensible puzzles and light humor outshine pacing issues and a discordant art style.

Dès lors, nous pouvons dire que Gerda: A Flame in Winter est un jeu à vivement recommander. L’écriture du titre est géniale, et le gameplay fonctionne très bien. Les éléments issus du genre RPG sont bien implémentés et les personnages sont bien travaillés. Bref, c’est un jeu qui vaut le coup d’œil, et qui saura en satisfaire plus d’un !

Loot River has addictive gameplay and you’ll want to play it again. However, there isn’t much story, which is a shame for the interesting world I found myself in.

La versione PC di Judgment scioglie i dubbi sul futuro della serie, o almeno è ciò che speriamo: SEGA ha evidentemente risolto la controversia con l'attore che interpreta Takayuki Yagami, dunque immaginiamo che a questo punto un terzo capitolo possa diventare realtà. Concentriamoci però su questa conversione, che offre una qualità del tutto simile a quanto visto su PS5 e un discreto numero di regolazioni grafiche al fine di scalare l'esperienza sulle differenti configurazioni, con un ottimo supporto di AMD FSR per ottenere i 60 fps senza troppe rinunce. Il gioco in sé lo conosciamo ormai bene, con la sua storia coinvolgente, un solido gameplay action e l'immancabile ricchezza di un'ambientazione che ha tanto da offrire.

The Wandering Village ticks all the right boxes as a city-building game. Managing not only your village but also a giant creature is a unique concept that is mostly well done. It isn't just a gimmick; the theme adds to the challenge of the game. Research tech could use some improvement but as an Early Access title, The Wandering Village is a solid game that is worth the price.
