Pac-Man World Re-Pac è un remake pensato per i più nostalgici: non nutre alcuna velleità competitiva nei confronti dei platform 3D contemporanei, con i quali non può neanche lontanamente confrontarsi. Bandai Namco ha voluto offrire ai giocatori un tuffo nella propria infanzia, tirando a lucido la prima avventura in tre dimensioni del noto protagonista; al netto di qualche sbavatura (per esempio nel comparto sonoro aggiornato alla buona), l'operazione funziona e viene anche proposta al prezzo budget di circa trenta euro. Purtroppo è il videogioco in sé a essere invecchiato, con un'avventura principale priva di sfide impegnative, poco longeva, e anche ai minimi termini per quanto riguarda varietà e originalità dei mondi esplorabili. L'anima del primo Pac-Man World, però, è ancora tutta lì: se volete riscoprirla, questa è la vostra occasione.

Earlier in this review, I mentioned Ramba Ral and his suit, the Gouf. If you understood the reference, then SD Gundam Battle Alliance was made for you. It’s got a ton of content for the fans while mixing things up so that it’s not a rote playthrough of the same storyline again. It’s not a perfect, but it’s closer than I’ve seen in a long time. For the Gundam curious looking for a robot action game, this isn’t a terrible entry point, especially considering the library does a good job introducing the player to a series. As it doesn’t quite scratch the itch for a general Japanese mecha through its combat mechanics and gameplay, however, SD Gundam Battle Alliance should only be considered within the confines of its source material and those who have no interest in Gundam can skip it.

Without reference to the original, it’s not always easy to appreciate The Last of Us: Part I’s impressive improvements. This is a much better game than the original, though, with stronger art direction, smoother gameplay, and much more emotional cinematics. Naughty Dog has done justice to the original by improving on it in almost every regard, but it remains the game you remember from 2013. At a more competitive price point, it’d be essential – as it is, it’s a pricey upgrade on a bona fide classic.

THE LAST OF US PARTE I In definitiva, The Last of Us Parte I è il remake di un capolavoro e lui stesso non è da meno. Le discutibili posizioni di Sony relative alle scelte economiche e di comunicazione di questo remake non sono da ignorare, ma al netto di questo c'è poco da recriminare al titolo per quanto riguarda quantità e qualità ludica. The Last of Us - Part 1 è una revisione di un'opera d'importanza capitale che va ben oltre il semplice aggiornamento tecnico. Ciò che Naughty Dog ha fatto col nuovo engine, con tutti gli accorgimenti apportati, con le opzioni importate dal secondo capitolo e con lo svecchiamento di certe farraginosità, fa di questa ripubblicazione la versione migliore presente sul mercato. Pur con tutti i limiti del materiale di base, il capostipite è oggi molto più vicino agli standard qualitativi eccelsi e tuttora insuperati del suo seguito. E questo, per una saga del genere, significa davvero tutto.
