Frogun is a must-play for 3D platformer enthusiasts that love retro-inspired titles. As long as you come with tempered expectations and expect a collect-a-thon more than fast-paced platforming, you'll love it.

Petit jeu de plateforme aux ambitions modestes, Frogun est parvenu à nous faire passer un bon moment, pendant une grosse partie de son aventure. Malheureusement, s’il jouit de mécaniques sympathiques, il pèche en contrepartie au niveau de la précision de son gameplay, et notamment de la visée du pistolet grenouille, sa marque de fabrique. Dommage, car s’il était mieux calibré il aurait aisément pu prétendre au titre de meilleur jeu de plateforme de l’été. À défaut, il propose une aventure plutôt chouette, qu’on recommandera surtout aux amoureux du old school et du challenge.

Cartel Tycoon gets the basics right, and its low price may entice some fans of management games. However, more could have been done with the setting and some of the mechanics. There are better options in the genre.

Digimon Survive manages to do a great job creating a unique Digimon game experience. Survive is able to deliver a mature Digimon story filled with lighthearted moments of group bonding, and tense moments that are some of the darkest Digimon has to offer. The Visual Novel gameplay helps nail the development of these relationships creating a story that players can invest in and that is sprinkled with past Digimon references. In combat, Digimon Survive does try to add its own Digimon spin to strategy combat, in some ways it does work but it will also leave you wanting for more in other areas. For a fan of Digimon storytelling or for Visual Novel games I think this is well worth picking up, if you're interested in Digimon Survive as an SRPG then you'll likely find the dialogue getting in the way of what you actually want to experience in a Digimon game.

Digimon Survive isn’t quite the game anyone was expecting based on the marketing. As expected, the story is engrossing, blending darker moments with the character drama that made for excellent viewing in some of Digimon’s best seasons. The visual novel aspect of the game is rather good by allowing players to form intimate connections with the other characters and partner Digimon. When the story works, it works amazingly well. When pacing issues do arise, however, they bring all that momentum to a halt. Combat is interesting and can be visually exciting, but it lacks the depth and complexity needed to carry the lengthy run time. It also frequently butts heads with the story when it comes to the partner Digimon, with the story emphasizing the bond but combat emphasizing recruits. It’s a combat system that ultimately feels tacked on and a side activity to the main course, the visual novel. Digimon Survive is a strange combination of genres that, taken as a whole, is enjoyable, even though the sum of its parts doesn’t wholly mesh. Digimon Survive is a worthwhile adventure for those looking for a strong story, but expect things to move slowly and not much actual gameplay.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is a genuine masterpiece and the highlight of Monolith Soft's superb series thus far. There's an emotionally-charged and surprisingly edgy epic to get stuck into here, a sprawling and hugely engaging narrative populated by a cast of unforgettable characters that's backed up by some of the very best combat we've had the pleasure of getting to grips with in this genre to date. Over 100 hours into this one, we're as captivated now as we were when we first booted it up and it has more than delivered every bit of the adventure, emotion, and action that its key art promised it might. Aionios awaits, it's time to seize the future.

Je n'ai jamais aimé Pokémon et encore moins Digimon, mais là je dois avouer que mon avis change pour ce dernier avec la direction prise par cet épisode "Survive". Il sort après de nombreuses années d'attente, mais cela en valait la peine. Même s'il affronte quelques mastodontes cet été, il se doit de se retrouver dans votre ludothèque très rapidement, car une fois l'introduction un peu rébarbative passée, vous aurez du mal à décrocher de cette histoire poignante et émouvante. Sans m'y attendre il fait clairement partie de mes jeux de l'année, peut-être aura t'il même le saint graal !

If obscene and dark humor is your thing and you have the urge to play a 3D platformer, look no further than Hell Pie. Hell Pie does 3D platforming well which is something I think is hard to do. It has unique techniques to make the gameplay enjoyable and satisfying for pulling off complex combos and saves. Definitely check it out if the humor is not off-putting.
