The bottom line on Need for Speed Rivals for the Xbox One is that it's a gorgeous world that is pushing the hardware to its limit. Gameplay, however, is as close to the same as its Xbox 360 predecessor. For those who have the Xbox 360 version, it isn't a must buy. If you're jumping into the world for the first time, though, then you will enjoy the best-looking Xbox One game outside of Titanfall.

You wouldn't think it, but the Professor Layton and Phoenix Wright series complement each other very well. This game is fanservice at its best: gameplay styles that work beautifully together, two iconic characters teaming up to use their deductive skills, and thankfully a lack of cameos and franchise clutter. While not as challenging or involved as the best games from either series, this is still a crossover fans of both Wright and Layton don't want to pass up.

Hi Rez studios has a game changer on their hands here. SMITE is an incredibly fun and addicting MOBA that is perfect for those who are looking from a change of pace from your typical MOBA. It features a great cast of characters, great gameplay, fun game modes and plenty of incentive to keep playing. It's free to play but it isn't pay to win. It has been an absolute joy seeing SMITE grow over the last 8 months and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for the game.

The Ninja Gaiden series needs to be rebooted, but this brand new spin-off is definitely not the direction to go. Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z is a frustratingly difficult action game with questionable writing and shallow gameplay. And yet, despite these problems, I found myself having fun fighting through the undead masses. It may be overpriced and too short, but Ninja Gaiden Z has a few thrilling moments.

Strider is back for his first adventure in more than a dozen years. As Capcom reboots go, this is one of the best. Double Helix has managed to capture what made the original game so much fun, while fleshing out the story in some very wacky ways. This PlayStation 3 version suffers from many of the same problems as its next-generation counterpart, along with noticeably reduced frame rate. But if you can get over the lackluster locations and non-stop backtracking, you'll discover a satisfying reboot to one of the best action games of all time.

World of Tanks' stories are written and measured out in one shots, potshots, ramming speeds, camping grounds, slugging matches, and Hail Marys. It's a game that makes you study topography and geometry, and measure probability. It's a game of Know Your Role. It's a game that earns its rightful place in living rooms and tournament circuits alike.

Whether you played them in Jr. High School or want to try a piece of the classic JRPG pie, Tales of Symphonia Chronicles offers up a generous portion of an earlier generation’s take on the RPG. As long as you know what you’re getting into thematically, graphically, and gameplay-wise, you’ll enjoy your time spent with Tales of Symphonia and ToS: A New Dawn.

Senren Kagura: Burst is great in short 'bursts' of gameplay, but is it worth the social stigma of having something so blatantly perverted on your 3DS? I'm still trying to unlock everything after completing this review, so I guess it is.

Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze is a master class in the art form of 2D platformers, but it’s way too difficult for its own good and this makes the inherent flaws and limitations of the genre all the more obvious. Tropical Freeze is probably the best side-scrolling platformer we’ll ever see from a technical standpoint. Now it’s time for Nintendo to stop making them for a while and actually do something new.

Instead of simply recycling the Tempest 2000 formula, TxK evolves the 33 year old franchise in a number of substantial ways. The 100 stages spin, shake, move and morph, all in the most mesmerizing ways possible. It's a sight to behold and the most exciting portable game I have ever played. TxK is essential to every PS Vita library.

Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z ditches the usual one-on-one fighting and goes team-based. Featuring different classes and a leveling-up mechanic, this newest installment will probably appeal to the loyal fan base. Unfortunately, I found the whole thing to be a shallow, simplistic, incoherent mess. Battle of Z may be boring, but at least it looks incredible.
