The folks at Toys for Bob took the hottest selling game/toy crossover from last year and have made it better. Skylanders: Giants is a more refined experience that offers a little bit of something for every type of player, including sucking me back in to enjoy some quality gaming time with my children in the co-op mode. Although I wish the figurine lineup had more than 16 new characters being introduced, I still expect retailer shelves to be stocked to the brim with all of the merchandise this Holiday Season. For those that already have invested heavily in Skylanders, this is a no-brainer and must have. For anyone new to the franchise, the games charm and ability to satisfy gamers of all ages and skill set make this something you should look into.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure isn't a bad fighting game, but it may be too weird for its own good. The 22 characters are hard to relate to and the action is often chaotic for no reason. Worse yet, the game is too expensive for the amount of content. If you can get over some of the imperfections you'll find a good looking fighting game with a lot of memorable characters!

Dark Souls makes me sad and I don’t mean because of its grueling difficulty.. Don’t get me wrong, the game itself is an awesome experience but there are some serious, yet simple, roadblocks to overcome in order to enjoy it on the PC and quite frankly, that is unacceptable in today’s day and age. PC gamers deserve better than this and this experience could easily have been much, much better.

The steady pace of improvements in the Codemaster's F1 series continues in 2012. The improved driving model, the introduction of a tutorial, and a couple of new racing modes makes this one worth picking up.

Rock Band Blitz works as not only an extension of the Harmonix brand, but also as a stand-alone action game full of cool power-ups and competitive leaderboards. Plus, it's a set of mostly great songs that can be played in Rock Band 3. It doesn't matter if you shred with a fake plastic guitar, retired from the road long ago or are playing for the first time; Rock Band Blitz has a little something for everybody!
