Street Fighter III Third Strike: Online Edition is probably exactly what a fan of the franchise would look for in a remake of a PS2 era arcade fighter, and as such, should be a thrill for old school Street Fighter fans. Unfortunately for the rest of us, n00bs need not apply. The graphics and sound are era appropriate (i.e. dated), and the controls, while fluid and functional, are described like they were written by scientists trying for warn future humans, with no idea of the current state of language on Earth in 2011, of the hidden dangers of long-buried nuclear waste - not that I'm equating Street Fighter III Third Strike: Online Edition with nuclear waste.

Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon is a fun game, especially with the armor system they implemented. Who doesn't want to run around and destroy giant mutant bugs. However, it leaves a bit to be desired. After getting an armor to level 2 after the first mission, it'll take some time to get it to the next level. This is okay, but your level limits what weapons you can use. I also feel that multiplayer is lacking, as it's the same as Offline Mode, even on Xbox Live. If they included something like a Deathmatch style mode, it would have really helped multi-player.

Don't bother unless you're either a Gundam or Dynasty Wars completionist. There is nothing here that will win you over. In fact, the cluttered screen, horrible camera, repetitive combat, and needlessly convoluted customization options might turn you off giant robot games forever, and that's just a shame. This the one case where giant robots don't make everything better.

Gatling Gears isn't a terrible shooter, but it also lacks any ambition. As dual-stick shooters go, this is another lazy attempt at the genre. The boring weapons and mediocre level designs won't win this game any awards, but they also won't ruin an otherwise unspectacular action game!

Hunted: The Demon’s Forge tries to hybridize fantasy dungeon crawling and cover based shooting, but the mix isn’t exactly elegant. There are a few glimmers of charm but the frustrating combat and linear, generic environments made it hard to stay interested.

Call of Juarez: The Cartel is a hodgepodge of bad ideas and performance issues. Even if you can get past the technical problems, this heavy-handed action game never quite lives up to its potential. If you have a couple friends to play with you might get some fun out of it, everybody else might want to look elsewhere for their first-person fix!

Kill Team is an absolute blast to play. It’s a no-frills action shooter from start to finish with a focus on purely destroying everything in sight. It’s just too bad that they decided to leave out online coop because that could have made a good game great.

Shadows of the Damned, despite some interesting ideas and intense action, falls victim to poor game design in the second half of the experience. Frustrating turret levels, going back to the 2D well one too many times, and puzzles that literally halt the game's pacing all mar what could have been a great game.
