If you're a multiple system owner, you may want to direct your attention to the Xbox version of the game. Slightly better looking and more responsive than the GameCube edition, it's the best way to go. Sadly, the PS2 rendition of the game appears to be rushed through development a bit. And in addition to the bizarre slowdown problems it has, also sports some rather hefty load times and graphical omissions the other two games don't suffer from. Despite my many nitpicks though, Rocky is in many ways the perfect boxing game. Capturing the spirit of the films more closely than few movie-licensed videogames before it, Rage Software's stab at the Italian Stallion is every bit a masterpiece that the movies were (trust me, it's already better than V). Though it definitely could have seen some improvement, particularly in terms of round scoring and CPU difficulty, there have been few boxing games yet to match this level of success. Joining the ranks of other legendary titles like Greatest Heavyweights and 4D Boxing, Rocky Balboa is very much for real and is Ubi Soft's best game this year next to Splinter Cell. Wait no longer -- run out and pick this baby up right now!

I think Unreal Championship is going to help a lot of first person shooter fans get through the months ahead of us until Halo 2 arrives. Like that copy of Purple Rain in your music collection, Unreal Championship feels like an old favorite that's been there all along and we're just getting re-acquainted with it now that Xbox Live is here. But UC is new and I welcome the Unreal universe to the Xbox with open arms because Digital Extremes, Epic Games and Infogrames have shown us that Xbox Live games don't have to be dumbed-down to the point of sterility just because it's a launch title. The game is flat out fun like a good online shooter should be, it's as simple as that. Putting together your own well crafted taunts over the Communicator --with the voice-masking off please-- is a joy I didn't expect to taste so sweet. I can't recommend Unreal Championship to gamers who aren't going to get on Xbox Live even though the bot-play and system link games are still enjoyable because that's just not the strength of this game. For any of you looking for that final reason to get Xbox Live, this should definitely be one of them. And for those of you who already believe in Xbox Live and just haven't picked up your Starter Kit, you're just reading this review to find something to nitpick about! You know you're going to get Unreal Championship and when you do we'll all be online waiting for you.

Could say that of this entire review, honestly. Playing Disney's PK was a rewarding experience in one way, at least -- I got a chance to find out who PK was, and in turn ponder the mystery of how a goofy-looking duck superhero would become such a big deal in Italian comicbooks. But the game itself did very little for me, and that would probably go for most of you as well. It's as generic as action games come today, and in such a crowded market, you don't have to settle for something like this.

One of the least popular fighting games around the office in quite a long time, X-Men: Next Dimension is certainly not for everybody. Ribbed on as it may be by the other guys in the desks around me, nobody spent as much time with it as I did either. And nobody besides me was privileged enough to discover just how decent this one can actually be. Though I'm not denying that Next Dimension isn't without its problems, it's not without a few good points either. And while I can't recommend this to anyone outside the devoted X-Men circle or perhaps the occasional curious fight fan, a strong constitution and an open mind may yield a couple of smiles and maybe even a certifiable good time, for those of you who are a little more forgiving. Give it a rental at the very least.

So Back to War is a bit of a mixed bag. If you are a Cossack from way back and need another fix then this expansion pack, which plays as a standalone product, might be worth considering. That said, the fact that there isn't anything significantly new on offer and the fact that there is no scripted campaign to keep you interested from mission to mission is a serious problem.

Mary-Kate & Ashley Sweet 16: Licensed to Drive can be a reasonably entertaining game if you can find a group of friends who come it at with the right mindset. All of the games are simple to play and some can be fun for a few rounds. As intended, though, this game is best suited for existing young fans of Mary-Kate & Ashley. Those lucky millions will probably enjoy this game a great deal, especially when they get together with a bunch of friends.

In my opinion FIFA 2003 fixed things in 2002 World Cup that weren't necessarily problems. Nonetheless FIFA 2003 is a fine soccer game and should grab everybody's attention on its own merits because it does capture even more of what makes pro soccer so appealing. That's every sports videogame's job. If you didn't fall for the World Cup edition this past summer or if you can put that game's feel and control out of your mind, then you'll find FIFA 2003 to be worth the trouble of leaning a new system. There are still major holes like an underutilized Freestyle Control system, no non-competitive game modes and a lack of customization features (no create-an-anything or weather/time of day control) holding FIFA back from being the definitive soccer game. With virtually no competition, until one of Konami's fine soccer games makes it to Xbox in North America I have to recommend this soccer game for sports gamers looking for another non-stop end to end game.
