Atelier Lulua The Scion of Arland è il ventesimo titolo originale della saga e prosegue la trama della trilogia già vista precedentemente nella Serie Arland, facente parte della sterminata Saga Atelier, giochi di ruolo di un certo livello. Se avete amato il trittico Rorona, Totori e Meruru, o se siete anche fan di vecchia data, e magari avete iniziato a giocare ai tempi di Atelier Iris, sull’inossidabile PlayStation 2, questo titolo fa decisamente per voi. Un gioco complesso, ricchissimo di opzioni ed idee di gameplay, non ultimo il divertente sistema di creazioni degli oggetti ed il ricco ricettario. La sola gestione del ricettario è un vero gioco nel gioco che vi incollerà allo schermo in maniera ipnotica! Il tutto confezionato in un comparto audiovisivo decisamente evocativo, con artwork dallo stile giapponese rigorosamente tradizionale ed accattivante. Gli aspiranti Alchimisti troveranno pane per i loro denti.

Atelier Lulua: The Scion of Arland proved me wrong twice. Not only did Gust actually make a follow-up to a completed trilogy, but I actually played and ultimately enjoyed it after I swore I wouldn’t. Though between the addictive synthesis, endearing characters and fun story, I probably should have expected as much. In the end, it really says a lot that the most I can genuinely fault the game for is that its narrative is somewhat antithetical to its intent. Lulua wants to be a solid entry point for newcomers, and though it is mostly successful, it’s those same newcomers who are often left out in the cold due to all the nostalgia and Atelier-branded fanservice featured throughout.

Atelier Lulua: The Scion of Arland, è un capitolo molto ben sviluppato. Farà felici i fan della serie, siano essi maschietti o femminucce. Una buona realizzazione tecnica, una storia interessante, ed un gameplay rilassato ma anche impegnativo, fanno da contraltare ad una mancanza di vere innovazioni e al fatto che il gioco è chiaramente di nicchia, apprezzato quindi da quella parte d’utenza a cui piacciono i jrpg. La realizzazione grafica è davvero di buon livello e ci ha stupito tanto per la varietà, quanto per la ricchezza di ogni area. Segnaliamo inoltre che il gioco è totalmente in inglese e doppiato in giapponese. L’inglese utilizzato è piuttosto scolastico e semplice, ma ci rendiamo conto che potrebbe scoraggiare qualche giocatore indeciso. Nel complesso, secondo noi è il miglior capitolo della serie Arland, e vi invitiamo a prenderlo seriamente in considerazione. Se siete fan della serie invece, è un acquisto da fare praticamente ad occhi chiusi, non ne rimarrete affatto delusi.

Atelier Lulua: The Scion of Arland is one of the best entries in the Atelier series. While the story is not particularly exciting, the charming characters, enjoyable world and streamlined game mechanics can keep players engaged for a very long time. Highly recommended to fans of the series and to those looking for a nice JRPG that's not too demanding.

Se riuscite a passare sopra a una scrittura non particolarmente brillante e imparate a dominare un sistema di crafting all’apparenza intimidatorio, scoprirete che Atelier Lulua: The Scion of Arland ha molto da offrire con il suo sistema di combattimento sorprendentemente coinvolgente, le splendide località e le gratificanti sezioni di gameplay. Senza dubbio raccomandato per i fan di lunga data della serie, è molto accessibile anche per i neofiti che vogliono conoscere la serie. Atelier Lulua: The Scion of Arland è un gioco di ruolo molto ben realizzato che sicuramente merita il vostro tempo.

Il nuovo titolo della saga Atelier riuscirà a soddisfare i fan più appassionati del brand, e anche a includere una schiera di neofiti desiderosi di approcciare un titolo molto classico ma dignitoso. La serie avrebbe però bisogno di svecchiare un po' la sua formula di base, proponendo elementi più innovativi rispetto a tutti i crismi ormai abusati della produzione. Chi ama i prodotti "anime style" troverà un character design piacevolmente modellato, ma anche una concept art davvero scarna e poco ispirata a livello ambientale. Per il resto, anche The Scion of Arland, come i suoi predecessori, possiede un fascino dolce e spensierato, caratterizzato da una genuinità irrintracciabile altrove.

Pour conclure, Atelier Lulua: The Scion of Arland est un jeu assez plaisant. Certes son scénario est loin d’être innovant mais on finit par s’en éloigner pour profiter de l’exploration et progresser en alchimie. Au final, les heures défilent et malgré la sensation qu’il manque un petit quelque chose, le temps passé n’est pas désagréable.

Si sois de los veteranos, tened en cuenta que la alquimia es bastante accesible, pero se equilibra con un sistema de combate que puede ser bastante duro incluso en sus niveles más sencillos, requiriendo buena estrategia y, por qué no, una buena dosis de farmeo. ¿Aunque quién no busca farmeo en un título de Atelier, en el que toca buscar materiales por aquí y allá?

D'une écriture singulièrement décevante, Atelier Lulua échoue également à combler le fan de la trilogie Arland, faute à trop peu d'interactions avec d'anciens personnages pourtant adulés. Encore une fois, on demande au joueur de casser sa tirelire et d'attendre que les DLC soient prêts. A cela, Gust substitue des nouveaux arrivants manquant parfois de personnalité et du contenu annexe assez fade. Les habitués retrouveront néanmoins un système de jeu sans faille et une vraie profondeur de jeu, ainsi qu'un gameplay et un défi appréciable.
