Se siete abituati a Final Fantasy Tactics e compagnia fantasy-strategica, Dynasty Warriors: Godseekers vi apparirà un titolo molto limitato e non particolarmente profondo. E questo, assieme a un comparto grafico senza particolari meriti, è in effetti il suo limite principale. Omega Force ha però realizzato uno strategico a turni godibile, leggero, mai troppo impegnativo e che scorre bene dall’inizio alla fine. Senza picchi certo, ma nemmeno senza cadute di tono o quei limiti (per molti ancora insormontabili) della serie madre.

Dynasty Warriors: Godseekers non ambisce a scalzare dal trono i mostri sacri del genere strategico turn based. Gli strateghi di lungo corso, dunque, possono mettersi l'anima in pace: il titolo, ovviamente, non punta a emulare Fire Emblem o Final Fantasy Tactics. Va comunque riconosciuto il merito ai ragazzi di Omega Force di aver provato a proporci qualcosa di diverso dal solito, qualcosa che finalmente non fosse un semplicistico copia/incolla con appiccicato il marchio "Dynasty Warriors". Insomma, Godseekers è il risultato di una curiosa - e tutto sommato riuscita - ibridazione scaturita dall'innesto di alcune caratteristiche da musou caciarone (classiche degli episodi regolari) su una struttura più ragionata che è riuscita nell'intento di rendere il titolo accessibile, leggero e divertente anche ai novellini della strategia a turni. Il titolo potrebbe ambire a una valutazione più elevata ma soffre di alcune magagne, purtroppo, come un intreccio narrativo trascurabile privo di grande mordente e ovviamente un comparto tecnico davvero sottotono. Quest'ultimo, però, più che un difetto può quasi essere considerato il marchio di fabbrica del team nipponico.

There’s not much that Dynasty Warriors: Godseekers gets wrong, but what it does get right is basically what any other strategy RPG is expected to get right. It’s simply one of a number of similar games in a somewhat crowded genre, with nothing to really help it stand out other than its license. Putting that aside, Dynasty Warriors: Godseekers may not be what you expect from Dynasty Warriors, but it’s a competent strategy RPG that should at least satisfy fans of the franchise. Those new to the series may want to think twice, however.

Dynasty Warriors Godseekers manages to capture the spirit of the series with its tactical experience, but sadly fails to stand out from the competition and the classic games of the past due to the lack of any real innovation. Despite this, there's still plenty of fun to be had for fans of the Dynasty Warriors series and tactical RPG, as the experience is quite solid. Just don't expect to remember Zhao Yun's journey six months from now.

Dynasty Warriors: Godseekers è un RPG tattico semplice, divertente e con basi solide, capace di offrire una campagna non particolarmente lunga ma contornata da un numero consistente di missioni secondarie che spesso e volentieri si rivelano fondamentali per perseguire la crescita necessaria ad affrontare i nemici più forti e uscire indenni dalle situazioni più complesse. Omega Force ha dunque sfruttato bene i personaggi più celebri della serie e il tradizionale scenario della Cina imperiale, sebbene il risultato finale non regga il confronto con strategici ben più blasonati, né si riveli capace di sorprendere in alcun modo.

Dynasty Warriors: Godseekers is an unexpected game as it has been well over a decade since Dynasty Warriors tried venturing into the realm of tactics games. It's very accessible and does not offer the same complexity of games like Grand Kingdom or Final Fantasy Tactics and it would not be inaccurate to call this a casual tactics game. That being said, it's actually quite enjoyable either because of or in spite of its simplicity. The element of the Orbs of Power and Lixia make the story seem more like a legendary tale than the historical basis for the Three Kingdoms, but it does provide an interesting alternative version of the story fans have been playing through since the PlayStation 2 days. People looking for a traditional Dynasty Warriors or an extremely complex tactical game will not find one here. Fans of Dynasty Warriors who want to see those characters in a different arena and don't mind a tactics game that has pick up and play accessibility, however, should get a lot of enjoyment out of this.

Surprenant à plus d’un titre, Dynasty Warriors : Godseekers conserve l’aura de la franchise et s’attaque à un genre à des lieux de l’action et de la nervosité d’un Musou. Ce Tactical RPG mise sur une réflexion au tour par tour qui plaira sans nul doute aux stratèges, sans oublier sa dimension RPG dense au possible qui assure des dizaines d’heures passées dans des menus à l’interface confuse. Malheureusement, le jeu du studio OMEGA Force pêche par sa réalisation datée et un gain d’expérience déséquilibré entre les officiers et souffre d'une redondance omniprésente et d'un manque de rythme.

Lo de no estar pulsando un par de botones de forma casi neurótica para limpiar de enemigos la zona empieza a ser algo normal en esta saga, que se ha "ramificado" en diversos sistemas de juego. Y en este caso, jugablemente, el resultado es algo simple, pero entretiene y resulta asequible, sobre todo para quien no esté habituado al género. Dynasty Warriors: Godseekers es un juego decente, un título bien pensado que sólo falla en cierta simplicidad... y en ser técnicamente una pieza propia de hace bastantes años. Probablemente en PS3 y Vita no resulte tan evidente, pero en PS4 hay cosas que, sin querer, rechinan. Una lástima, y es que nos encantaría disfrutar de un juego de la saga que haga uso de un apartado técnico realmente potente y acorde con los tiempos que corren, sea dentro del género que sea.
