Far Cry 3 fait bien mieux que son prédécesseur. Jouissant d'une liberté justifiée et discrète (les ficelles ne sont pas aussi grosses que dans Far Cry 2), le titre d'Ubisoft est représentatif des jeux actuels. Certes, on n'atteint pas le brio de Dishonored, notamment pour ce qui est de l'immersion et l'implication du joueur, mais le tout est assez solide pour convaincre les fans de FPS et d'aventure. Plus soignée que par le passé, l'ambiance y est aussi pour beaucoup. Bien que le multijoueur soit sympathique mais sans plus, le jeu brille par la richesse de son contenu et la taille de la carte. Si vous avez été déçus par Far Cry 2, ce troisième volet, surprise inespérée, pourrait bien vous réconcilier avec la série.

Como ya habréis intuido por todo lo contado en el artículo, hemos pasado una cantidad de horas enorme disfrutando de todo lo que ofrece este juego, tanto en su vertiente para un jugador como en los modos 'multi'. La experiencia de libertad de acción de Far Cry 2 se ha mejorado y extendido de manera exponencial y con muy buen gusto por una buena historia y una buena experiencia de juego. La campaña es entretenida y adictiva y ofrece tantas horas de juego que ya hacen que la compra esté amortizada. Pero es que, además, los modos multijugador son realmente buenos, profundos y llenos de detalles que encantarán a los aficionados a esta modalidad.

It’s easy to see why someone would want to visit Rook Island – it’s a stunning tropical location with plenty of fun activities, scenic views, and history worth discovering. Far Cry 3 disrupts that paradise to challenge your feelings about enjoying violence. Because of lunatics like Hoyt and Vaas, you’ll see beautiful things you never would have. You’ll do terrible things that make you uncomfortable and meet fascinating, disgusting people. You’ll sympathize with Jason Brody’s difficult choices as he turns from vapid young man into a monster. Far Cry 3 is important for the same reason as Far Cry 2. It’s a shooter that considers shooters thoughtfully, both in the way they’re designed and the way we play them, and then asks us to do the same. Should massacring hundreds be a great way to entertain ourselves? Maybe not. But it is.

Si le jeu hurlait depuis longtemps sa singularité sur les toits, force est de constater qu'Ubisoft a pris un malin plaisir à jouer avec nos apriori pour que l'on range de nous-mêmes Far Cry 3 dans une jolie boîte estampillée "open-world un peu fifou" en attendant sa sortie. La surprise n'en est que plus délicieuse aujourd'hui puisque le titre bombe le torse, explose sa petite case et hurle haut et fort son appartenance à la race des beaux jeux vidéo, de ceux dans lesquels on aime à plonger à corps perdu parce qu'ils nous traitent avec respect, générosité et intelligence. L'île de Rook se nourrit des âmes de ses visiteurs et si j'étais vous, je lui filerai son dû sans discuter.

Far Cry 3 nous avait fortement intrigués lorsque nous l'avions croisé à diverses occasions lors de son développement et si l'on se doutait qu'il serait un bon jeu, on ne pensait pas qu'il serait aussi bon. Ca, nous n'avons évidemment pu le comprendre qu'en le soumettant à toutes les tortures pendant des heures et des heures. Et quoi que nous lui ayons fait subir, le titre d'Ubisoft s'en est toujours mieux tiré que ce que nous espérions. Far Cry 3 est un soft immensément riche et profond, doté d'un univers foisonnant de vie permettant à un redoutable gameplay, décomplexé et jouissif, de s'exprimer à plein. De par sa nature ouverte, le bébé d'Ubisoft se révèle capable de convenir à tous les types de joueurs et réussit en plus à surprendre dans des domaines où on ne l'attendait pas forcément. Le jeu vidéo à son meilleur.

Far Cry 3 è un esperienza da vivere! Il single player tra una trama con risvolti socio-psicologici interessanti ed una esplorazione che riesce a dare il senso di lotta e di sopravvivenza è la migliore offerta FPS disponibile al momento, condito con un gameplay che può essere scelto a discrezione del giocatore ed un comparto tecnico ottimo, il tutto accompagnato da un multiplayer di qualità e potenzialmente infinito porta nelle nostre piattaforme un prodotto di qualità assoluta! Guastato da piccoli glitch, dalla ripetitività e da un'intelligenza artificiale poco curata, ma che saprà ugualmente tenervi incollati al televisore per parecchie ore a sgattaiolare tra nemici ignari o a bombardare intere mappe multiplayer.

Die Action ist explosiv, die Inszenierung einzelner Szenen vor allem handwerklich überzeugend – warum lässt mich das dritte Far Cry trotzdem kalt? Zum einen ist handwerklich nicht genug. Vor allem die Erzählung muss stimmig sein und das schafft sie nur in seltenen Momenten. Sie widerspricht sich sogar, wenn sie gleich nach der Einführung zur Tagesordnung übergeht, anstatt die alles entscheidende Entwicklung des Schwächlings zum Krieger darzustellen. Wichtige Konflikte gehen unter, interessante Figuren werden wie lästige Auftraggeber durchgereicht. Zum anderen können die Gegner noch so clever sein, der Wechsel zwischen Schleichen, Schießen und Takedowns noch so dynamisch: Wenn mich das gesamte Drumherum aus der Illusion reißt, Teil dieser martialischen Realität zu sein, dann funktioniert das Abenteuer einfach nicht. Andere Shooter wie Bulletstorm und Borderlands haben eine kindliche Begeisterung in mir geweckt, weil sie den explosiven Feuersturm als witziges Spektakel zelebrieren. Far Cry 3 verspricht hingegen einen intensiven Thriller, den es spielerisch ad absurdum führt. Zum puren Selbstzweck hat Ubisoft die Inselwelt mit allem überladen, was spielerisch möglich ist: Sammeln, Schießen, Fahren, Onlineherausforderungen – Far Cry 3 ist das rücksichtslose Durchregieren sämtlicher Stichpunkte, die die Marktforschung den Entwicklern vorbetet. Hauptsache, der Spieler kann überall jederzeit alles tun, was ihm in den Sinn kommen könnte. Diesem Motto opfert Ubisoft den Aufbau einer glaubwürdigen Welt. Es ist der ultimative „Offene Sandkasten“ – das Wörtchen „Welt“ hat darin keinen Platz mehr.
