En bouleversant presque entièrement la formule originale de sa licence mise en place en 2018, 11 bit studios réussit avec brio à faire de Frostpunk 2 un excellent city-builder axé survie. Bien qu’il ne soit pas parfait non plus, la faute surtout à des dilemmes moraux trop souvent supplantés par l’aspect gestion de la cité, il propose une expérience de jeu extrêmement solide, convaincante et plaisante à découvrir et redécouvrir. Sincèrement, cette suite surpasse Frostpunk premier du nom dans quasiment tous les domaines et est un candidat très sérieux au titre de meilleur jeu de gestion de l’année. Et qui sait, même si les productions de ce genre sont un peu trop perçues comme de niche par le grand public, le retrouver dans la liste des potentiels GOTY 2024 serait amplement mérité.

Frostpunk 2 es una secuela bastante distinta al juego original, pero que conserva todo su espíritu. Es cierto que quizá se centra más en la estrategia 4X que la de city builder a ras de suelo, pero su apuesta por la gran escala también viene recompensada con una gestión y supervivencia más agresiva, con mayores posibilidades y una legislación que se acerca a la democracia y la negociación. El resultado es que, aunque puede sentirse menos personal, gana en complejidad y posibilidades y engancha igual que el primero.

Frostpunk 2 è semplicemente uno dei migliori city builder degli ultimi anni. Ad alcuni giocatori affezionati alla vecchia formula potrebbe non piacere, perché qui il focus viene espanso oltre le storie dei singoli individui del primo capitolo, ma è l'evoluzione logica che serviva per non ripetere una formula ampiamente esplorata. Inoltre è la prosecuzione perfetta del discorso iniziato all'epoca, che viene reso alla perfezione grazie a un sistema politico profondo e perfettamente integrato con il resto del gioco. Decisamente superiore alle aspettative.

Reynatis is close to a master at one trade, with its unique and refreshing combat system. But there’s too many other pieces that drag the overall presentation down, especially with its outdated graphics, poor Switch performance, awkward camera angles, and high price tag. However, even through all its minor to glaring flaws, and believe me there are many, it's an adventure I find myself looking fondly back on the things it does well.

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster revives Capcom’s 2006 zombie survival classic with upgraded visuals and modern enhancements, giving both new and returning players a chance to experience Frank West’s chaotic adventures in Willamette Mall. With creative sandbox mechanics, diverse boss fights, and roguelike elements, the game offers endless replayability and fun. While minor issues and mild graphical glitches exist, the remaster retains the core appeal of the original, making it a must-play for fans of zombie action games.

Aside from the fundamentals of combat, Enotria: The Last Song really tries to step outside of the box when it comes to dressing up the standard soulslike. The sun-drenched environments and wild, Italian folklore-inspired character designs are a real breath of fresh air straight from Italy’s Alps. Combat is fun, even when the difficulty spikes unexpectedly (since most of those fights are optional anyway) and despite the bloat of many, many systems that govern all of the more nuanced abilities and stats. The unapproachability of its RPG systems, and the wonky performance when a smooth frame rate matters the most are what really prevent Enotria from taking center stage.

Enotria: The Last Song emerge come un soulslike ambizioso e coraggioso grazie alla sua forte identità italiana. Il gioco brilla infatti per il suo affascinante worldbuilding e per la sua estetica distintiva, ma anche la gestione del protagonista, basata su un sistema flessibile e potenzialmente molto vario, ha una sua chiara personalità, seppur possa risultare fin troppo complesso e dispersivo. L'esplorazione è gratificante anche se alcune aree risultano troppo labirintiche, mentre la centralità della parry in un combat system a tratti avvincente può non piacere a tutti. Sfortunatamente, diversi problemi tecnici e un bilanciamento della difficoltà discutibile rappresentano i due principali punti deboli di un soulslike (stranamente assolato) comunque da provare e in cui immergersi con anche un pizzico di orgoglio patriottico.

Indéniablement, Les Chevaliers de Baphomet – L’ombre des Templiers: Reforged est une réussite. S’il donnera surtout des frissons aux fans, découvrir un tel point’n click avec ce remake constitue la meilleure manière de le faire. Des tableaux plus charmants que jamais, une écriture toujours aussi savoureuse, une musique délicieuse et un gameplay ajusté pour davantage de profils parachèvent une refonte réussie. Seule la qualité audio des doublages peut légèrement nous sortir de l’immersion, mais la présence du casting français original reste une excellente nouvelle pour profiter de cette aventure mémorable.

Broken Sword: La Leyenda de los Templarios - Reforged es un remake de la obra original que eleva su detalle con técnicas de inteligencia artificial. Aunque Revolution asegura usar su propio modelo y haberlo retocado a mano, sigue dejando preguntas en el aire y a veces resultados no tan buenos, por no hablar de una esperpéntica traducción de los nuevos menús hecha con traductor automático. Estos detalles feos empañan lo que es una obra que sin duda se beneficia de la alta definición, ya que el original tenía mucho detalle y poca resolución. La obra en sí es un clásico de las aventuras gráficas que nos invita a descubrir una conspiración alrededor de los caballeros templarios. No siempre me pareció centrada en sus puntos fuertes por incluir puzzles poco relevantes, pero es muy disfrutable y más accesible que nunca, debido a la ingente cantidad de ayudas que el estudio ha incorporado.

Parece que Tiebreak ha tenido muchos cambios bastante drásticos desde que empezó la beta cerrada, y que muchas cosas buenas que estaban antes han desaparecido. Lo que nos ha quedado es un poco extraño. Controles excesivamente complejos que provocan que el jugador se quede clavado o que simplemente se mueva, pero no golpee la bola. Unido a que la sincronización de partidas en Steam no está correctamente implementada, en el modo carrera no veo forma de subir mis estadísticas y demás problemas varios que tiene el juego por muchos de sus apartados, incluida que la traducción es parcial… No puedo recomendaros este juego, al menos no en este estado.

Above all, Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster preserves the iconic original’s experience while including some very logical and welcome modern adjustments, like auto-saving, a new navigation system, and NPCs that seem less inclined to serve themselves for lunch. Not all the new voice acting is an improvement – and there are a variety of other tedious flaws that have gone unfixed – but wading back into the Willamette Parkview Mall after all these years has been an effective reminder of just how brilliant the original Dead Rising was back in 2006. Coaxing as many hapless consumers as I can back through throngs of the festering undead is as compulsive as it was nearly two decades ago. At the very least, now that I’ve paused to actually package this review together, it’s still gnawing at me to return – and that’s the sign of any great game (or reasonably effective zombie, for that matter).

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is a solid remaster that enhances the original game with some welcome gameplay and quality-of-life improvements that go a long way to make the experience more enjoyable than ever. However, the remaster falters in the visual department, with dull colors that pale in comparison to the vibrant visuals of the original. Still, there's plenty to like in the Deluxe Remaster, as Frank West's journey to Willamette remains as engaging as ever, though the mostly faithful recreation of the original gameplay feels a little dated compared to its sequels.

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster è un'operazione di buona fattura, specie perché al di là del profilo tecnologico prende delle decisioni nette in termini di design. È chiaro che con questo remake Capcom si stia rivolgendo a un pubblico di nuovi giocatori, portando il classico del 2006 agli standard qualitativi attuali. Tuttavia, il tradimento di alcune delle caratteristiche che decretarono il successo del primo episodio potrebbero dividere chi, di questa serie, apprezzava anche le pieghe piu' controverse.

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster è un lavoro eccellente. Ogni aspetto di questo classico è stato migliorato, con una veste grafica nuova di zecca, più dialoghi doppiati e un numero impressionante di migliorie alla "quality of life" che snellisce e rende estremamente più godibile l'intera esperienza. La palette cromatica un po' spenta e alcune animazioni piuttosto goffe non bastano a sporcare l'ottimo lavoro svolto da Capcom nel rendere attuale uno degli ammazza-zombie più iconici di sempre. Assolutamente da recuperare sia per i veterani sia per i neofiti della saga.
