South Park Snow Day avait presque tout du projet boiteux lors de son annonce. Mais au final, on a passé un moment sympathique avec cette impression d’être l’acteur d’un long épisode de la série. L’humour graveleux est là, les personnages iconiques également, et cerise sur le gâteau, il y a la vraie VF, ce qui change tout et rend le jeu encore plus drôle. S’il est plus poussiéreux et moins intéressant à jouer que Le Bâton de la Vérité ou que l’Annale du Destin, ce nouveau jeu se rattrape par certains éléments comme les cartes à jouer. Le contenu est relativement limité, mais au moins, ça ne tire pas en longueur. On regrette juste que les ambitions n’aient pas été encore plus grandes ou encore que le titre soit parfois pénible en solo. Si vous adorez la série, alors il arrivera peut-être à vous amuser le temps de quelques heures et à vous faire oublier ses défauts. En revanche, dans le cas contraire, passez définitivement votre chemin. Mais pour celles et ceux qui se demandent, c’est tout de même mieux que le jeu PS1 où l’on envoie des boules de neige sur des poules et qui m’a valu de me faire bully par des potes pendant des décennies.

South Park Snow Day! South Park Snow Day!, sebbene si presenti come un seguito diretto di The Fractured But Whole, abbandona la formula a turni del suo predecessore, si spoglia di parte degli elementi RPG e rinnega perfino la grafica bidimensionale della serie, riuscendo però solo in parte nell’intento innovativo: pur mantenendo buoni livelli tecnici, la grafica 3D potrebbe far storcere il naso ai puristi della serie animata, famosa anche grazie al suo stile “cartonato” bidimensionale. Inoltre l’avventura risulta scarna anche per un gioco in stile Left4Dead/Vermintide/Darktide, affidando forse troppo della sua rigiocabilità ai modificatori casuali e alla speranza futura di una impostazione come Game-As-Service come i giochi a cui si ispira. Vale, visto il prezzo praticamente budget per la versione PC, versione PS5 e XBOX, principalmente se siete fan sfegatati della serie animata. With 3DS hardware becoming increasingly cost-prohibitive and emulation growing progressively thorny, a remastering of The Legend of Legacy is a welcome proposal. Nearly a decade on, FuRyu’s RPG remains involving - thanks to its non-traditional character development and emphasis on exploration and discovery. But know that the title lacks the sophistication and sheen of most contemporary role-playing efforts.

Rise of the Ronin marries a cool historical setting, Team Ninja’s mastery of tough-but-fair combat, and some smart RPG design to make a game that is immediately compelling, and even more fun with friends. It’s full of cool little touches, whether it’s throwing something at an enemy with the grappling rope or dropping from your glider onto your horse. Unfortunately, it’s also a game full of map clutter, bloated systems, and a truly absurd amount of junk loot, and the time I spent clearing out everything that didn’t spark joy and dealing with all these non-essential systems made me pine for a leaner, meaner, more focused game. Rise of the Ronin is excellent when it has the courage to be itself and lean into its challenging, rewarding fighting; too often, however, it feels stuck in indecision, torn between what it wants to be and what it feels it’s expected to be, and not even the best samurai can overcome that.

Rise of the Ronin is a case where more isn't always better. It's got varied and challenging combat, a wealth of content, and a wide variety of mechanics in a story that spans over a decade. But while most of the individual components work, many feel unrefined, and their sheer volume doesn't elevate the experience.

Si uno no tiene cuidado con una afilada katana, se arriesga a cortarse. Por suerte, Rise of the Ronin desenvaina de forma certera gracias a un combate sublime y a una historia muy atractiva para los amantes del Japón más samurái. Hay carencias importantes, pero Team Ninja realiza un corte mucho más preciso de lo imaginado con este ambicioso juego.

Princess Peach: Showtime! is more closely aligned with Kirby and Yoshi’s simple, cheery romps rather than Mario’s polished platformers and Luigi’s haunted mansions. There’s fun to be found in the Sparkle Theater, as these delightfully simplified takes on some of gaming’s most popular genres are entertaining to blast through, and the whimsical stage play aesthetic gives Peach’s game an identity all its own. I’m also thrilled that Nintendo is finally giving Peach another crack at her own solo outing after nearly two decades, and I hope this is the start of an ongoing spinoff series within the wider Mario universe. Some noticeable performance issues and the frustrating lack of a chapter select means I won’t be returning for an encore, and I wish there were a few extra levels to lengthen the somewhat brief campaign, but Nintendo and Princess Peach at least know how to put on a good show.

Princess Peach Showtime! è un gioco curato nei minimi dettagli, elegante e divertente. Non è solo un mezzo per mettere in luce Peach, anche se questo è l’obiettivo principale, ma è un titolo che si impegna al massimo per intrattenere. Anche se pecca leggermente in termini di difficoltà e longevità, consiglio comunque il gioco a tutti i possessori di Nintendo Switch, per un’esperienza gratificante e di altissimo livello.

MLB The Show 24 si afferma come uno dei più eccellenti simulatori sportivi prodotti. Questa edizione è riconosciuta per il suo alto grado di autenticità e precisione. Attraverso una serie di dettagli minuziosi, sia visivi che tecnici, l’atto di battere, lanciare o catturare una palla da baseball sembra veramente come se ci trovassimo in campo. L’equilibrio ideale tra intrattenimento e conoscenza sportiva offre non solo momenti di relax ma anche l’opportunità di esplorare la storia del baseball, sia antica che moderna, e di rivivere gli eventi chiave della sua evoluzione e popolarità. Anche se i tempi di caricamento sono sensibilmente prolungati e le innovazioni rispetto al capitolo precedente sono limitate, il piacere di giocare è garantito, sia in singolo che in multiplayer. Con le sue numerose possibilità di personalizzazione, si dimostra un titolo che si conforma a qualsiasi tipo di giocatore. Ancora una volta, uno dei suoi maggiori pregi è la diversità dell’offerta ludica che propone. Si narra che ci siano due categorie di persone: quelle che adorano il baseball e quelle che non lo comprendono. Con MLB The Show 24, siamo convinti che il baseball possa trasformarsi in uno sport entusiasmante per chiunque.
