A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead does a commendable job of taking the uniquely silent scary movie series and spinning it into an interactive adventure, even if its methods for sustaining stress seem a bit too clearly contrived at times. I greatly appreciated the many handcrafted human touches that made its evacuated spaces so evocative, and the safety net of its consistent auto-save meant that my numerous instant deaths never became a source of frustration. However, although it may maintain a regularly tense atmosphere every shuffled step of the way, the absence of any significant story surprises or enough substantial changes to its simplistic stealth-based gameplay means that A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead doesn’t quite have enough twists and turns to make for an unmissable journey.

A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead è un gioco che fallisce sotto l'aspetto narrativo, incapace di offrire una storia o anche solo dei personaggi coerenti e godibili, ma non centra l'obiettivo nemmeno dal punto di vista ludico. Ripetitivo al punto da creare un loop di azioni sempre uguali nel giro di due o tre capitoli, con meccaniche aggiunte di volta in volta e circoscritte al momento in cui sono presentate, tanto lineare da non lasciare alcun margine di manovra nel gestire i confronti con gli Angeli della Morte, si trascina fino alla fine senza catturare mai davvero l'attenzione. Un sound design rivedibile, la gestione delle creature in termini di percezione dei suoni e intelligenza artificiale generale, nonché quella dei suoni prodotti dalla protagonista stessa, unite a un'esasperante meccanica di asma che non permette nulla senza rischiare di riempire l'indicatore relativo, rendono l'esperienza lenta, pesante e poco accattivante persino nella sua contenuta durata.

L'opera di Stormind e Saber Interactive si dimostra all'altezza del prestigioso nome che porta stampato in copertina, portando a termine con successo il difficile compito di adattare questo franchise cinematografico in forma videoludica. Se siete appassionati dell'orrore digitale, avete amato i film della saga o siete semplicemente alla ricerca di un titolo a cui dedicare qualche ora da brivido nel periodo più 'spaventoso' dell'anno, vi consigliamo caldamente di dargli una possibilità, specie in virtù del prezzo altamente concorrenziale a cui viene proposto.

A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead è una fedele trasposizione e al contempo un valido horror in prima persona, che trova nella sua onnipervadente componente stealth la sua ragion d'essere. Le poche variazioni sul tema lungo tutto l'arco dell'avventura costringono il giocatore a un ritmo estremamente compassato e a una dose di pazienza davvero elevata, pertanto sarebbe stato più utile all'opera riuscire ad avere al suo interno molti più escamotage di quanti se ne siano visti nei film, soprattutto per delle necessarie variazioni di ritmo che avrebbero ampliato a dismisura la platea dei giocatori interessati al titolo.

When the game makes you feel like you’re in the world of A Quiet Place being pursued by Death Angels, The Road Ahead is an immersive and tense time. It’s just a shame that the game’s mechanics and its 8–10-hour journey ultimately come at a cost to the tension and overall experience. As a result, fans of the franchise and the first-person horror genre will likely find more to like here than most, even with its budget price tag.

Super Mario Party Jamboree devrait s’imposer comme la nouvelle référence du party game sur Switch. Le titre reste fidèle à l’héritage de la franchise tout en apportant des nouveautés bienvenues. Nous sommes heureux de constater que Nintendo semble avoir pris en considération les critiques formulées à l’encontre de l’épisode précédent : sept plateaux au lieu de cinq précédemment, de nouveaux modes de jeu ont vu le jour, il y a davantage de personnages jouables… Que vous soyez un fan inconditionnel ou un joueur occasionnel, Super Mario Party Jamboree offre suffisamment de diversité et de fun pour vous garantir de passer de bons moments entre amis.

Se vi intriga l'idea di vivere in prima persona la vita di un fante dello spazio che combatte contro degli alieni giganti per favorire i loschi affari di un governo dittatoriale corrotto, Starship Troopers: Extermination è sicuramente il gioco che fa per voi. Peccato che la versione 1.0 abbia introdotto più problemi che soluzioni e che non si siano curati maggiormente certi aspetti, altrimenti avrebbe potuto essere un'esperienza ancora più coinvolgente.

Neva propose un voyage qui marquera à coup sûr les joueurs lui ayant donné sa chance. Avec une relation plutôt intime qui se liera avec le petit louveteau devenant, au fil des saisons, de plus en plus grand. Le titre saura satisfaire ceux qui ont un peu de temps devant eux, car c’est là le principal défaut du jeu, sa durée de vie. Là où Gris proposait une durée de vie de 5h environ, Neva pourra être terminé à 100% en un peu plus de 3h, et cela, sans réellement forcer l’exploration. Mais, qu’à cela ne tienne, Neva est un magnifique tableau. Et il ravira tous les joueurs ayant été touchés par le style de narration de Gris. Un récit qui se vit, qui se savoure et qui se partage.
