Starship Troopers: Extermination is a game full of tremendous potential. Two years after early access that potential seems within reach with a bit more polish. The action can be a blast, but often the bugs, some design choices, and unstable servers act against its overall vision. Often it felt like I was fighting the game itself and not the bugs onscreen.

È valsa la pena di aspettare tutto questo tempo per Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, non abbiamo dubbi in proposito. Il videogioco firmato ancora una volta da Spike Chunsoft non è magari perfetto sul piano visivo né risolve i ben noti limiti del genere degli arena fighter, ma ottimizza e sostiene l'impianto quanto basta per fare in modo che i pur frenetici e spettacolari combattimenti fra i tantissimi personaggi che compongono il roster del gioco si svolgano in maniera piacevole e soddisfacente, in un tripudio di fanservice che non mancherà di entusiasmare i tantissimi fan di Dragon Ball. Il pacchetto è un vero e proprio concentrato di contenuti, destinato anche a crescere grazie ai giocatori (vedi le battaglie personalizzate), e in questo riuscito mix spicca l'ottimo lavoro svolto con le storie alternative degli Episodi Sparking, capaci di aggiungere freschezza e interesse a un percorso narrativo che ormai conosciamo fin troppo bene.

Dragon Ball Sparking Zero arrive à remettre la série Budokai Tenkaichi sur le devant de la scène d'une très bonne manière en proposant le gameplay original tout en y apportant quelques nouveautés comme de nouvelles méthodes de contres. À côté, vous retrouvez un cast de personnages gigantesques qui va faire plaisir aux fans de la première heure, mais qui peut aussi être vu comme étant gonflé artificiellement à cause des transformations, pour des affrontements titanesques dans des arènes destructibles lors de combats en local ou en ligne, même si cela peut parfois les rendre assez brouillons. N'oublions pas non plus l'histoire de la mythique saga qu'il est possible de revenir en partie bien que ce soit concentré sur Dragon Ball Z et Dragon Ball Super.

A wild and successful experiment for Atlus’ Studio Zero, Metaphor: ReFantazio is a sober and confronting conversation with the player about reinventing the fantasy roleplaying experience that has been synonymous with Square Enix’s Final Fantasy. This excitingly realised world of magic and tech reflects the prism of current-day humanity upon its canvas in often confronting ways but with an excess of style to boot. You may even find a few metaphors about social cohesion and prejudice in here. Exciting for those Persona fans with an appetite for something bloodier and traditional but find Shin Megami Tensei’s brand of fantasy too indulgent with religious esoterica.

Sky Oceans: Wings for Hire Sky Oceans: Wings for Hire ci ha lasciato con un pò di amaro in bocca, dobbiamo ammetterlo. Da un lato, la voglia di omaggiare i grandi classici degli RPG è palpabile, con omaggi ed ispirazioni che i fan del genere sapranno apprezzare a corredo di un prodotto con diverse idee intriganti. Dall'altro lato, tuttavia, la realizzazione tecnica claudicante, i problemi di ritmo ed un combat system che presta il fianco (anzi, la fusoliera) a troppe critiche, rendono l'esperienza a tratti eccessivamente snervante. Un prodotto che probabilmente aveva bisogno di un pò di tempo extra per essere migliorato e che sfortunatamente, allo stato attuale, può essere consigliato solo allo zoccolo più duro di nostalgici ed appassionati... complice anche la tremenda concorrenza diretta di ottobre. Last Time I Saw You is a narrative adventure set in 1980s Japan, following 12-year-old Ayumi as he navigates relationships, a cursed town, and a mysterious girl who changes his life. The game blends exploration, puzzles, and choices, while the heartfelt story, gorgeous visuals, and emotional depth make it a standout experience. Though the pacing can be slow at times, the compelling narrative and unique setting keep players engaged, offering a nostalgic and relatable journey through the trials of youth.

Pneumata es un survival horror con luces y sombras. Aunque es admirable el esfuerzo realizado por un único desarrollador, logrando una atmósfera comparable a producciones de mayor presupuesto (aunque gráficamente es obviamente más limitado), el juego se ve empañado por decisiones de diseño que pueden generar frustración o agotamiento. Transmite bien su propuesta, pero a menudo se desvía. Si eres un verdadero fan del género seguramente sentirás un entusiasmo inicial, pero acabes avanzando solo por inercia. Si solo buscas algo casual para jugar, probablemente esta no sea tu mejor opción.

Remettre au goût du jour une légende du point and click aurait pu inciter son développeur à se reposer sur les qualités d’origine du titre et laisser opérer la magie. Il n’en est rien pour Les Chevaliers de Baphomet - L'ombre des templiers Reforged. Cette aventure merveilleuse profite ici d’un formidable travail de refonte graphique qui fait honneur aux qualités du matériau d’origine. A ce stade il aurait suffi de dépoussiérer aussi les doublages pour offrir au monde un remake absolument parfait. On va tout de même se contenter de cette quasi-perfection et exhorter les joueurs non-allergiques au genre à (re)découvrir ce point and click enchanteur.
