Regreso triunfal de Housemarque al PC con un videojuego de acción roguelite que tiene el alma de los fantásticos arcades con los que este equipo, responsable de Nex Machina entre muchos otros, nos ha deleitado durante años. La adaptación de Returnal a PC es fantástica en todos los sentidos: saca el máximo provecho a la tecnología para que quien tenga un equipo potente disfrute de la espectacular acción de Returnal con todo lujo de detalles, y quien no, pueda hacerlo igualmente con un gran acabado visual y buen rendimiento. Si no lo jugaste en su momento esta es la oportunidad perfecta para disfrutar en ordenador de uno de los -hasta ahora- mejores exclusivos de PS5.

Children of Silentown is a game with many winning qualities, but it gets in its own way in certain key areas the further it goes along. Its unassuming presentation looks and sounds great, and I really enjoyed Lucy’s story and felt for her when life took some darker turns. Which made it feel that much worse when it abruptly ended without the satisfying conclusion it so needed. Basing the outcome on a nearly random late choice, and blocking other finales without starting over from the beginning, further soured me on the endgame and ultimately impacted my overall enjoyment. I liked much of the game until that point, but not quite enough to play all six or so hours several times over. You can’t help but be charmed by Lucy’s plight, but once she leaves home her journey gets caught in the weeds of repetition, resulting in an uneven experience that somewhat lets down its promising first half.

Returnal (PC) Returnal è uno dei titoli più affascinanti di questa generazione. Un universo sci-fi profondo ed accattivante si accompagna ad un comparto grafico e sonoro d'eccezione. In questo porting per PC gli elementi di forza dell'IP ne escono tutti rafforzati: grafica, comparto sonoro, giocabilità - con le modalità co-op e sfida infinita - ci regalano un gioco davvero imperdibile per gli amanti del genere. Resta un po' di amarezza per le prestazioni su Steam Deck, che, probabilmente, con un po' di lavoro in più, avrebbero potuto essere migliori. We’re admittedly a little mixed on Tales of Symphonia Remastered. Though the story is compelling, the character building is satisfying, and there’s lots of content to experience, Bandai Namco’s near-nonexistent efforts to scrub out the rough edges of this 20-ish year old game definitely hold it back from greatness. Things like the stiff combat, dated visuals, and awkward writing limit the appeal here, which makes this remaster feel like a missed opportunity. It’s easier to recommend this to those who have nostalgia for the original and want to relive those memories, but it's tough to say whether newcomers should pick it up. This is far from the best action RPG on the Switch, and it’s arguably not even the best Tales game on the Switch. We’d give this one a light recommendation as its positives do outweigh its negatives, but with the caveat that you should probably wait for a deep sale or buy it used. There are much better RPGs to play on the Switch today, and this one doesn’t quite deserve a spot near the top of your list.

Tales of Symphonia is still one of the biggest highlights in the series with a fantastic assortment of characters, some simple but enjoyable combat and great story to keep players invested throughout. What hurts is that this remastered version has glaring issues that need to be fixed. It’s far from making it impossible to recommend, in fact we still absolutely would for those who haven’t ever played it before, but without autosave and with multiple recorded crashes experienced, it’s hard to tell people to run out and pick it up immediately without proper patches to work out the bigger issues here. With fixes to address the problems, Tales of Symphonia Remastered could easily be considered another fantastic port on modern systems that we hope to continue to see more of from Bandai Namco.

Tales of Symphonia sigue siendo un juego increíble dos décadas después de su lanzamiento, pero su adaptación a los nuevos tiempos es nula. Buena oportunidad para todos aquellos que no lo disfrutaron en su momento y quieren abrirle la puerta a la saga. Buena historia con grandes personajes y un combate muy interesante, pero duele no haber visto su mejor versión.

Très difficile de noter ce Pharaoh A New Era. Le plaisir de 1999 reste inchangé et on a entre les mains un gros changement visuel digne de 2023. Mais au delà de l'aspect purement technique et surtout artistique, le titre reste finalement très proche de l'original sans grands changements au niveau du gameplay. On serait donc sur un remake uniquement artistique et technique et un remaster en terme de gameplay. Une situation batarde qui en fait tout de même une très bonne pioche, surtout pour les nostalgiques.

Wild Hearts est bel et bien un concurrent sérieux de Monster Hunter. Si dans le fond, le jeu n’est pas si différent de son modèle, dans la forme, c’est une autre histoire. Les Karakuri changent complètement la dynamique de la chasse et de l’exploration et rendent le tout très dynamique. C’est extrêmement généreux, il y a de quoi jouer de très nombreuses heures et c’est bien écrit, aussi surprenant que cela puisse être pour le genre. Hélas, même si Wild Hearts nous sort une direction artistique japonaise du plus bel effet, techniquement il n’est clairement pas à la hauteur. Non seulement il y a des glitchs pratiquement partout, mais en plus le jeu arrive parfois à être très vilain, notamment à cause de ses textures baveuses. Quelques patchs seront donc nécessaires pour en profiter au maximum. Dommage, on était à deux doigts de toucher à un titre absolument énorme. Toutefois, si vous passez outre l’emballage pas très sexy, Wild Hearts pourrait bien vous surprendre.
