It Takes Two is a fantastic co-op game, and feels right at home on Switch. Sadly the visuals take a big hit, but in return you get a few more options on how to play. It still remains difficult to get a co-op partner for the full game let alone enough controllers, however if you can manage you’re in for a great time.

Partendo da un gioco già straordinario, la conversione di It Takes Two su Nintendo Switch non ha del miracoloso, ma è comunque realizzato con una cura e una passione che, conoscendo il team, non ci stupiscono. Hazelight ha confezionato un port competente che, al netto di ovvii compromessi tecnici e di caricamenti, restituisce la piena esperienza del titolo cooperativo a un pubblico possessore di Switch che potrà goderne alla grande, vuoi per affinità vuoi per competenza di Fares in materia. Già gioco del 2021 a mani basse, consigliamo caldamente a ogni possessore dell'ibrida Nintendo di andare a comprare It Takes Two, non ve ne pentirete.

Like a good book, Trails from Zero is all about welcoming and engrossing attentive players that enjoy solid writing to break up hundreds of turn-based fights against monsters and criminals. While its narrative about redeeming a redundant police corps is unlikely to arouse the curiosity of anybody unfamiliar with The Legend of Heroes, these characters and the city of Crossbell they inhabit are bursting with personality. If you can handle the lacklustre gear progression, nebulous orbment system and some old-school holdovers that contemporary JRPGs have rightly left behind, the likeable saga of Lloyd and his fellow oddball detectives is a must-play for series fans and a delectable entry point for newcomers.

God of War Ragnarok conferma la tendenza dei PlayStation Studios nello sfornare titoli single player dall’incredibile ed elevata qualità, capaci di bilanciare perfettamente sia la narrazione che il gameplay. A differenza di molti dei suoi “cugini” però, la nuova avventura di Santa Monica Studio abbatte il concetto di more of the same migliorando esponenzialmente ogni singolo aspetto del suo predecessore. Il rapporto padre-figlio che va a saldarsi nel corso della storia rappresenta il culmine di una narrazione mai banale e ricca di sequenze inattese per ciò che ci ha raccontato il passato. Una storia che purtroppo ha una sua fine, ma che allo stesso tempo lascia una porta aperta sul futuro della serie, che grazie al finale di Ragnarok potrebbe avere ancora molto da raccontare. Ciò di cui siamo consapevoli però è che dobbiamo soltanto ringraziare gli sviluppatori per questa incredibile avventura di cui abbiamo fatto parte, perché racconti simili è sempre bello leggerli, ma potervi addirittura partecipare è stato un privilegio a cui difficilmente qualcuno dovrebbe rinunciare. Alla fine di tutto non possiamo che urlare dalla cima più alta dei 9 regni che God of War Ragnarok non solo è un capolavoro mitologico, ma un titolo che resterà scoppito nel mito per tantissimo tempo!

Parler de Harvestella en quelques paragraphes et clairement impossible. Le titre se laisse apprécier en fonction de la manière de procéder des joueurs. Vous en aurez pour votre argent vu toutes les possibilités, principales et annexes, qui s'offrent à vous. Le jeu est long, et si vous êtes patients vous y trouverez votre compte. Une excellente alternative aux genres qu'il mélange et une judicieuse sélection de plateformes car les joueurs Nintendo Switch & PC adorent ce genre d'expérience. Il devrait également être disponible sur mobile afin de s'ouvrir un plus grand nombre car, après tout, ce n'est pas son moteur qui va empêcher cela d'arriver.

The Valiant is a serviceable, squad-based RTS that serves up some usually well-balanced sword-clanging action for its heroes and their small bands of merry men, though it wears a bit thin once it’s evident how repetitive and backtrack-heavy the battles can get. There’s a sturdy story to drive it forward, though it too is let down at the last moment by an ill-considered final battle that renders all your decision-making throughout the campaign worthless. And while The Valiant does have multiplayer, don’t count on being able to find any opponents to clash with online.

God of War Ragnarok is phenomenal. Even amongst PlayStation Studios' typically stellar output it's a showpiece — a masterfully crafted game that smashes expectations at almost every turn. The sheer, often ridiculous scope of Ragnarok makes 2018's God of War feel like a prologue — and that's perhaps the highest praise we can bestow upon a sequel.

Impeccable writing, pitch-perfect performances, knockout action – it’s a complete work of art from top to bottom. Reflecting its core themes, it's everything a sequel should be: respectful of its legendary lineage, but not afraid to take it to exciting new places. God of War Ragnarok is an almighty achievement and creates a new high that makes many of its peers look positively mortal by comparison.

The Chant è un gioco con qualche buona intuizione: dall'atmosfera lisergica a un vivo senso di urgenza che tiene desto il giocatore per gran parte della campagna. Improntato su un sistema di combattimento limitato nelle mosse a disposizione, ma decisamente efficace nella pratica, il survival horror di Brass Token si lascia giocare con piacere. Superata la perplessità iniziale nel trovarsi praticamente di fronte a un action, The Chant, con l'esplorazione graduale dell'isola, le lotte soddisfacenti e i poteri prismatici da acquisire e accrescere, poggia su una struttura di gioco più che discreta. La solidità dell'esperienza, tuttavia, è minata da una caratterizzazione fin troppo stereotipata di tutti i personaggi del gioco, protagonista compresa. Con i loro drammi di cartapesta, i comprimari fungono da semplici trigger per mandare avanti la storia, raccontata tra l'altro da dozzine di anacronistici documenti e qualche sparuto "filmato" impresso su vecchie pellicole. L'incedere del gioco patisce inoltre l'assenza di figure forti con le quali rapportarsi e il bactracking, richiesto per la risoluzione di oziosi enigmi, finisce per sbeccare irrimediabilmente la seconda metà dell'esperienza. The Chant, con la sua gestione interessante della forza interiore, l'inizio intrigante e una rappresentazione psichedelica dell'orrore, non è però un brutto gioco, sebbene gli stereotipi, la sceneggiatura priva di guizzi e le ambientazioni poco varie nelle quali tornare più volte lo rendano per lunghi tratti un po' tedioso.
