God of War Ragnarok is phenomenal. Even amongst PlayStation Studios' typically stellar output it's a showpiece — a masterfully crafted game that smashes expectations at almost every turn. The sheer, often ridiculous scope of Ragnarok makes 2018's God of War feel like a prologue — and that's perhaps the highest praise we can bestow upon a sequel.

A few changes here and there improve Football Manager 2023 much more than I’d anticipated. It’s still the same deeply engrossing sim that you know and love, but with a few extra bells and whistles to keep the fans happy.

God of War Ragnarök is a worthy continuation of (and conclusion to) 2018’s God of War, building on that already strong foundation to deliver an experience deserving of a spot in gaming’s pantheon. New tools and greater enemy variety elevate combat, and the expanded environments and cast give this sequel the epic scope its story demands. But the beating heart of the game remains its characters, and Ragnarök delivers an immensely satisfying next chapter for just about everyone—Kratos and Atreus, returning friends, and new faces alike.

Santa Monica insegnaci la vita! God of War Ragnarok è il seguito perfetto di un gioco difficile da uguagliare (94 Metascore, 9.1 User Score). Ragnarok però lo supera, sia per meccaniche di gioco, migliorate e ulteriormente stratificate, che per trama. Una storia intensa, senza mai un attimo di pausa o di noia, narrata divinamente e coadiuvata da una regia impeccabile, da una colonna sonora strepitosa e da un doppiaggio all'altezza di quelli cinematografici. Non è forse il gioco di riferimento per la grafica next-gen, nonostante di passi in avanti ce ne siano stati, ma sinceramente poco importa. Per quanto mi riguarda è il GOTY di questo 2022.

Faites-nous confiance, vous adorerez vivre la fin du monde prophétique de God of War Ragnarok. Ce nouvel épisode renferme une épopée bouleversante, épique, généreuse et extrêmement dense. Santa Monica fait au minimum très bien concernant chaque aspect de son jeu et promet de vous faire ressentir une ribambelle d’émotions, assez pour écarter d’un revers de la main ses quelques faiblesses. Et puis si les sensations en termes de gameplay ne sont pas bouleversées par des changements drastiques, elles demeurent exceptionnelles et s’étoffent de très beaux ajouts. Si vous pensiez que la saga nordique n’aurait plus rien de nouveau à offrir, l’aventure de Ragnarok vous démontre vite le contraire.

When you get into the guts of it, WRC Generations is by no means a drastic shake-up on its quality predecessors, even if there have been some small but welcome improvements to the career mode and customisation tools that have spiked my enthusiasm. It does, however, deserve credit for both the very respectable range of relevant rally cars it features, as well as its absolute mountain of rally locations. With almost every country to host the WRC over the last decade represented, WRC Generations may be KT Racing’s last WRC game, but there’s nothing least about it. The kitchen sink philosophy has resulted in a fantastic and uncommonly generous package for gravel groupies, asphalt addicts, and mud-slinging maniacs alike.

Ghost Song ci ha lasciato un leggero amaro in bocca se consideriamo il suo notevole potenziale. La storia conquista, le mappe e in generale il level design del gioco sono ben costruiti, mentre la varietà degli scontri e la componente ruolistica funzionano (inizialmente) molto bene. Purtroppo la difficoltà media non cresce col passare delle ore e anzi vira verso il basso, complici alcuni devastanti power up e una generale ripetitività dei nemici. Nonostante queste criticità, Ghost Song ci ha divertito e affascinato, ecco perché vi consigliamo comunque di provarlo, soprattutto se siete abbonati a Xbox Game Pass.

Honey, I Joined a Cult è un gioco gestionale più canonico di quanto la simpatica premessa non faccia sospettare. Ha alcuni aspetti peculiari affondati però in una struttura classica e neppure troppo avvincente, data l'assenza di particolari possibilità di interpretare le partite, che finiscono così per assomigliarsi un po' troppo fra loro. Chi cerca di un gestionale "leggero" può dedicarsi alla sua nuova setta senza preoccuparsi troppo. Chi, al contrario, si aspetta anche profondità e malleabilità del sistema di gioco rischia di sentirsi un po' troppo "ingabbiato". Da approcciare dunque con la giusta cautela.

The Chant è un'avventura a tinte horror che rappresenta un buon inizio per lo studio Brass Token. La storia, pur con i suoi limiti, è in grado di regalare serate cariche di tensione e di coinvolgere, mentre sotto il profilo di gameplay, pur mancando guizzi particolarmente originali, ci sono comunque delle idee interessanti che potrebbero trovare maggiore sviluppo in futuro.
