Bien qu'on soit conscient des problèmes de gameplay, de navigation, d'IA, de ralentissements et de vraies innovations, Final Fantasy Tactics s'est trouvé une place de choix sur PSP. Si on eut aimé une traduction française ainsi qu'une optimisation de la portable de Sony, comment bouder ce RPG tactique qui fascine et façonne un univers subjuguant par l'entremise de personnages au coeur d'une histoire de religions, de passions, de guerre. En l'état, voici un soft qui, sans vraiment se bonifier avec le temps, conserve cette aura de magie qui lui vaudra encore cette adoration de millions de joueurs dans les années à venir.

Ultimately, Duck Amuck succeeds more as an interactive cartoon than it does as a mini-game collection. It can almost be characterized as a Daffy Duck virtual pet a la Nintendogs. Almost, but not really. The strange balance of awesome cartoon/bad game design might not be enough to persuade the 30 dollar purchase, but you know what? Duck Amuck revives a lot of what made those Golden Age cartoons so great, so if you love those 'toons, this one's a cute, cool diversion even with the mini-game stinkers.

Team Fortress 2 is finally available, and it's one hell of a game. With its powerful artistic style and blazingly quick, yet accessible gameplay, it's enough to melt the icy cynicism imprisoning the hearts of even the most jaded among us. That being said, it's not the most complex shooter out there, and lacks bot support for now. Still, the game's got enough to it to last for a long while, and there's a statistics system built into Steam to help keep track of everything. Buy it, load it up and let loose. It's near-impossible to be disappointed.

So Fatal Fury has a few different qualities that set it apart from other fighters of the age, and it could be of interest to fans of the genre for those reasons. But the final point to address about Fatal Fury is that it is, on its own, pretty basic when compared to all the many games to come later. This was SNK's first ever fighter, and the company developed and published nearly countless others afterward – including several direct sequels that improved on almost every aspect established first here. You can feel good investing 900 Wii Points in a download of Fatal Fury if you're a past player looking to satisfy your sense of nostalgia, or if you just want to find out if the Bogard brothers manage to get their revenge on Geese. But if you hold on to those same nine bucks and wait for some of this game's later sequels, you'll find that they're much more robust and replayable. And they'll have more than just three selectable characters.

NBA Live 08 is EA’s weakest attempt on Wii thus far, hands down. It lacks the polish, depth, or passion of any of the other motion projects had, removing full modes and options of the other console versions while also skipping on any of the expected Wii additions. We’re not talking about the included Family Play mode, or the game’s Party Mode which includes two mini-games; we’re talking about seamless motion control that works in more ways than just a simple button press, Wii-specific modes that truly make use of the console’s strong points (IR being one of those, something never used in NBA Live), and the intuitive “Learn Madden” equivalent mode of NBA Live, where players instantly are greeted with step-by-step tutorials and a range of training modes that familiarize them with the Wii hardware. Mii integration doesn’t make a PS2 title turn Wii overnight, and neither does waggle control or sympathetic gameplay. It’s obvious NBA Live was a low-priority, back-burner product, as the game suffers greatly during its Wii conversion. Here’s hoping next year brings a deeper, more intuitive and entertaining game of NBA Live.
