Sonic X Shadow Generations takes an already excellent game and spring jumps it to new heights at a blistering pace by doubling up the campaign length with creative level design, fantastic bosses, plenty of collectibles, and an appreciable graphical upgrade. While the brand-new Shadow content isn't necessarily long on its own, it adds a nice change of pace to the collection of all-time great Sonic stages Generations already contained, and there’s an exciting new story that’s filled in as you explore the overworld for collectibles, activities, and challenges. This bulked-up remaster soars far and above previous enhanced versions we've gotten in the Sonic franchise, and hopefully will be the gold standard Sega holds itself to when it decides to bring back other Sonic games from the past.

Tirando le somme, questo Sonic x Shadow Generations ha decisamente superato le nostre aspettative. La seconda avventura dedicata a Shadow, che inizialmente poteva sembrare solamente un DLC, si dimostra qualcosa di ben più esteso, sia a livello di durata che a livello concettuale, unendo il meglio della boost era con idee prese dal nuovo corso di Sonic. Non può avere l’effetto “wow” che aveva nel 2011, ma stiamo comunque parlando di un nuovo capitolo 3D di Sonic davvero molto divertente da giocare. Il che non è affatto scontato, come ci insegna la storia di questo personaggio.

Ya seas un jugador veterano de la franquicia o no, aquí tienes diversión espectáculo de sobra. Los cambios mejoran en su mayoría al original y la campaña de Shadow es un verdadero flipe. Así nos gustan los Sonic, amigos de SEGA.

Sonic x Shadow Generations est une véritable lettre d’amour à la franchise, en modernisant un classique tout en y intégrant habilement Shadow. La dualité entre les gameplay 2D et 3D rend chaque niveau dynamique et plaisant, et l’histoire de Shadow apporte un vent de fraîcheur. Les fans de longue date y trouveront leur compte, même si la répétitivité des défis et quelques imprécisions dans le gameplay peuvent frustrer. Malgré cela, le jeu reste une expérience incontournable pour tous les amateurs de Sonic, avec une direction artistique et technique soignée.

Sonic X Shadow Generations bundles one of the most loved recent entries to the series with a new, refined take of that formula. Sonic Generations is barely a remaster, but it still holds up today. And it serves as a good comparison to the new Shadow Generations game included in this package.

Nonostante non raggiunga i picchi qualitativi dell'ottavo episodio, Ys X Nordics rappresenta un capitolo di tutto rispetto per il franchise e, più in generale, un ottimo esponente del genere dei giochi di ruolo di forte stampo action. Il senso di libertà che proviene dalla navigazione dei mari del golfo di Obelia, unito al rinvigorente e veloce sistema di combattimento, danno vita ad un'esperienza di gioco senza troppi fronzoli, dotata di grande ritmo e di uno stile inconfondibile, che Falcom è riuscita a mantenere nel corso di trentasette anni di onorata carriera. Il prode Adol non sembra invecchiato di un giorno nonostante le diverse ere videoludiche che ha passato, e anche su PS5 porta il suo carico di entusiasmo, divertimento e azione frenetica. Peccato solo per un comparto tecnico piuttosto arretrato, che vanifica in parte l'ottimo lavoro svolto sul character design e sulla palette cromatica del gioco, mai così accesa e realistica, e per un progressivo assottigliamento degli elementi da gioco di ruolo in luogo di una deriva action sempre più pronunciata.

Ys X Nordics, l’ultimo capitolo della celebre saga di Nihon Falcom, distribuito in Occidente da NIS America, rappresenta un riuscito connubio tra tradizione e innovazione. Il titolo, pur rimanendo fedele alle radici della serie, introduce elementi di gameplay moderni che lo rendono accessibile a un pubblico più ampio. Il sistema di combattimento, solido e dinamico, si integra perfettamente con l’esplorazione marittima, caratteristica distintiva di questo capitolo. La trama, ben costruita e ricca di colpi di scena, offre ai fan della serie un’esperienza coinvolgente e soddisfacente. Tuttavia, la frustrazione è dietro l’angolo per i neofiti, in quanto presuppone una certa familiarità con la saga e con i suoi personaggi. Alcuni elementi narrativi e meccaniche di gioco potrebbero risultare più ostici per chi si avvicina per la prima volta alla serie.

No es el mejor de los Ys pero tampoco les va a la zaga aunque a veces parece dar un paso atrás respecto a los anteriores y el sistema de combate dual se carga casi por completo el individual. Además, es uno de los menos variados en enemigos y localizaciones.

The best way to enjoy Shadows Of The Damned Hella Remastered is from the perspective of someone who wants to revisit an old game. If you’re expecting this remaster to correct the wrongs of the original or add even more content, then you’ll be sorely disappointed. As a remaster, it does the bare minimum of making the game run smoothly on a modern platform without changing too much of how the original game looks, sounds, and feels. As a game, Shadows Of The Damned definitely deserved a cult following. It’s eccentric blend of horror, rock and roll, and crass silliness isn’t for everyone, but this is the sort of art that must continue to flourish. There’s a bleak future where video games are just mass produced products, focused tested to provide the optimum profit for shareholders. Suda51 and Grasshopper Manufacture’s punk spirit raises multiple middle fingers to that, as their games have always been weird, bucking whatever is trendy and just making whatever they wanted to make. Shadows Of The Damned Hella Remaster probably won’t change your mind if you already have an opinion of the original game. But that it is still around today should make you ponder: wouldn’t it be nice if games with unconventional styles could still be made today and find an audience? It’s time that we give a damn about weird games. And Shadows Of The Damned Hella Remastered is hella weird.

Unknown 9: Awakening è un titolo arrivato troppo tardi sul mercato. Se è vero che il comparto narrativo funziona, è altresì palese che pad alla mano si tratta di un titolo poco più che sufficiente, difficilmente "sopportabile", soprattutto oggigiorno. Pur accettando la sua struttura arcaica, caratterizzata da una ripetitività di fondo da tenere comunque in conto, un prodotto con un così basso livello di polishing, sia tecnico, che delle meccaniche ludiche, è difficilmente consigliabile a tutti.

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 no es un paso adelante en la saga, pero consigue hacerla recuperar el aliento en cierta medida. Una campaña fruto de un cúmulo de demasiadas ideas que acierta y falla constantemente, un multijugador no apto para cardiacos y unos zombies tremendamente adictivos dan forma a una entrega sólida, pero no memorable.
