Tirando le somme, questo Sonic x Shadow Generations ha decisamente superato le nostre aspettative. La seconda avventura dedicata a Shadow, che inizialmente poteva sembrare solamente un DLC, si dimostra qualcosa di ben più esteso, sia a livello di durata che a livello concettuale, unendo il meglio della boost era con idee prese dal nuovo corso di Sonic. Non può avere l’effetto “wow” che aveva nel 2011, ma stiamo comunque parlando di un nuovo capitolo 3D di Sonic davvero molto divertente da giocare. Il che non è affatto scontato, come ci insegna la storia di questo personaggio.

Call Of Duty Black Ops 6 signe le retour d’une des séries phares de la licence au premier plan, et Treyarch délivre un épisode qui arrive à nous faire vibrer et rager en quelques minutes d’intervalle. On tient l’une des campagnes les plus solides depuis pas mal d’années, avec un zombie qui cumule retour aux sources et ajout de nouveautés satisfaisant. Le multijoueur, fer de lance de la série, est séduisant sur le papier, mais le fait de retrouver les problèmes annuels habituels dès le lancement du jeu gâche un peu la fête. On sait que ce sera corrigé, comme à chaque fois, après quelques patchs, mais on aimerait avoir une expérience propre d’office et ne pas avoir à attendre. Dans l’ensemble, CoD BO 6 reste un bon opus, mais il aurait pu franchir un cap sans difficulté avec un peu plus de soin.

For the most part though, I found myself enjoying the ride of Slay the Princess. It’s gross, heartfelt, morbid, mind-fucking, and touching all at once, and how much you get out of it will depend on your penchant for the bizarre. Now I need to go lie down and think happy thoughts.

Rogue Flight is a bold take on the shmup genre, blending classic high-intensity space shooter gameplay with a narrative that raises the stakes for every mission. Players will pilot the Arrow, a powerful yet occasionally hard-to-control ship, through challenging stages that feature branching paths, customizable upgrades, and relentless enemy swarms. Though some boss encounters can be frustrating due to tight positioning and unclear weapon stats, the game’s anime-inspired visuals and deep replayability make each victory all the more rewarding.

Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven is a bit of an underwhelming RPG that has some unique gameplay mechanics. The open-ended world narrative structure feels freeing, but the characters are boring. The glimmer mechanic is fun, but the battle system lacks a strategic hook. Each of its gameplay systems is a double-edged sword, as we’d find a particular aspect enticing while another was baffling. It feels like a slight step back from the other recent SaGa games, but if you’re a fan of the series, Revenge of the Seven might resonate with you more than it did with us.

Concettualmente, A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead è una riduzione perfetta della serie cinematografica in videogioco. Difficile pensare a dei modi alternativi per realizzarla, considerando l'idea su cui è basata. Per alcuni potrebbe rivelarsi un gioco troppo lento, per altri troppo difficile vista la reattività dei mostri, ma è A Quiet Place, quindi è così che doveva funzionare. Peccato per il lato narrativo non proprio eccezionale e per i diffusi problemi tecnici, ma per il resto è un'esperienza che ci sentiamo di consigliarvi, soprattutto se amate la serie.
