Dishonored: Definitive Edition is a game that should definitely be on your bucket list if you missed it on the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3, but it might as well be called a Collector’s Edition if you’ve already been on this journey before.

EA Sports has taken what was great the last few years with the Madden series and continued that excellence in Madden 16. The gameplay feels as fluid as ever, with the new receiver and quarterback mechanics standing out by far. Draft Champions is easily one of the best additions to the series in a long time and hopefully is only a taste of what is to come in the future, which is in and of itself proof that Madden 16 is far from just a roster update and is definitely not a year to skip.

A game largely ingrained in its source material, Sword Art Online Re: Hollow Fragment features a strong combat system and a ton of content at a bargain price, but the perplexing character creator and other flaws may ruin it for those that are not already fans of the franchise.

A paltry offering of game modes and online issues really overshadow the many good things about F1 2015. As expected, the game looks and plays better than its earlier iterations, but it's just not a substitute for substance and functionality.

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter may not be a long journey, but the breathtaking visuals and atmosphere are enough to captivate most anybody on their way to solving a number of mysteries that all play a part in the overall story.

The PGA Tour game series returns after a short hiatus with the first entry on current generation consoles. The game offers players some of the best gameplay yet, but much of the game feels like a step back from previous outings. The number of golfers and courses have been drastically reduced, with real female golfers completely removed, and even Pro Career Mode feels very impersonal. Night Club Challenges and online play do help to enhance the experience, but Rory McIlroy PGA Tour overall feels like only part of the main course, with the rest of the meal possibly coming as later as DLC.

J-Stars Victory VS+ is certainly an ambitious game, bringing together characters from 32 different Weekly Shonen Jump Series into one. The J-Adventure mode can provide hours of entertainment, even with its simplicity, but the combat itself could have used more work to make each character feel more distinct, though the J-Cards do help with some additional customization. The vast range of series represented here is bound to make fans of those series happy for the most part, but otherwise the typical gamer likely will not find much fun to be had in J-Star Victory VS+.

Rocksteady Studios leaves Batman behind at the top of their game in terms of visual presentation, gameplay, and storytelling. While Arkham Knight's innovations are few, they are impactful and smart, and all work towards the common goal of giving the player the ultimate power fantasy of being the Batman.

LEGO Jurassic World certainly does not break any new bricks, but the game is a wonderful ride nonetheless. Nowhere else in games can one get the full Jurassic Park cinematic experience like the one delivered in LEGO Jurassic World. The patented LEGO humor is here, and the game is most certainly aimed at a younger audience, stripping some of the darker elements and difficulty out of the game. Regardless, LEGO Jurassic World’s elegant simplicity and commitment to the source material make this a must play for fans of Jurassic Park.

While not as innovative as it once was in the current gaming landscape, Payday 2: Crimewave Edition is the definitive Payday experience on consoles that will provide hours of multiplayer fun.

Operation Abyss: New Tokyo Legacy brings an originally Japanese exclusive PC series to a whole new group of gamers on PS Vita. In tandem with the equipment variety, the rather simplistic gameplay makes for an incredibly addicting experience that is perfectly suited for a portable system. The game does feel overly complicated in some ways at times though and as a result can be a difficult entry point for newcomers to the genre, but fans of the dungeon crawling genre can find a fairly unique first-person experience in Operation Abyss: New Tokyo Legacy.

The Escapists is a quite challenging game with some great ideas scattered throughout, but sometimes feels lacking in execution. Adding in RPG elements was a wise decision by the developer, interweaving it with the overall puzzle gameplay of trying to escape each prison. However, the game is greatly held back by how parts of the game require too much trial and error, though it feels incredibly rewarding to make the right item or grand escape after much troubleshooting. The Escapists overall is a unique game that is great for those looking for a challenge, but may be a little too tedious for the general gamer.
