Blazing Angels is up against some tough competition on the PC in this genre. Online multiplayer is its strongest point; the single-player campaign quickly becomes monotonous because of the lack of challenge and the unbalanced "squad-based" gameplay. Visually, Blazing Angels hits, and misses, but it looks good in general. It would be a good idea to crank up the sound for the cinematic score and the outstanding sound effects if it weren't for Joe continually blathering about your busted fuel line. The controls are simple and intuitive and anyone can jump in and learn the game in a few minutes. Flying through the historical battles are fun the first time, but after you complete the game you'll feel more of a sense of relief than elation because, without any real story, the game lacks emotional appeal.

Exit is a rather mixed bag. In theory, and even in practice, the person-centric puzzles are laid out nicely and can really challenge your noggin towards the late stages of the game. But at the same time, there's a whole lot of trial-and-error going on here. Add in the awkward old-school controls and things can be quite frustrating. As a bonus though, the look and animation quality is stellar and downloadable content should keep you going for some time.

FIFA Street 2 has problems left from its predecessor. It improves some areas, specifically in the areas of animation and overall presentation, but the actual gameplay gets no special treatment. The mini-games offer little in terms of replay value and the head-to-head multiplayer mode is pretty basic. If this had been a portable version of the console FIFA Street 2, then it'd be a whole different (and much better) beast.

Monster 4x4 has an interesting concept, but fails to amount to anything worth playing. If there was a better sense of speed, more destructive elements and a deeper control system along with a multitude of other improvements, it might turn into something fun. Sure there's multiplayer, but it's just as boring and confusing as the solo play. Save your money, this one's better used as a coffee table coaster.

The fourth game in the Driver series is a straightening out, a re-focusing, if you will, on what Driver did so well when it first appeared in the late '90s. The improved out-of-car experience, better gun handling, added driving-and-shooting mechanic, and the slew of changes all culminate in this being a much better outing that Driver 3. It's still not perfect, but it's not broken either. If you're a fan who felt burned by the last one, you'll dig the changes Reflections made here.

GRAW on Xbox feels like an incomplete Xbox 360 version. In other words, it feels a little like a bastard child. The graphics are OK in some respects, like the HDR lighting and high contrast Mexican landscape, and even the visor feels kinda cool at least at first. But technical issues such as low resolutions, tons of aliasing, and an overall lack of polish, hurt it. The audio track is essentially the same as it is on Xbox 360, which is a good thing, and the sound separation is generally well done. But the game itself, the actual shooting, the missions, and the tactics, they've all been messed up. With somewhat quick movement, some awkward controls, and gameplay that lends itself to run-and-gun bluntness instead of precision ghost strikes, you'll really wish you had waited for the Xbox 360 version or skipped this one altogether. Summit Strike and Ghost Recon 2 before it are all around better games.

Fight Night Round 3 is a great sports title, but negligible improvements in the career mode and idiotic computer AI hold the game back from true greatness. Removing the HUD, in combination with visible emotion, creates a more instinctive boxing experience, especially when moving in for the knockout. There are some strange choices in the presentation department, like the lack of rankings, but the outstanding graphics and sound effects create a great in-game experience, which is what counts. The impact punches are a great addition, and the tension from a well-placed stun punch creates a true white-knuckle experience. Creating a fighter and taking the title belt provides decent entertainment value, but the real fun lies in beating your friends’ faces in. Try (or not, as the case may be) as the computer might, it’s your friends who will be your true rivals.

EA Sports Fight Night Round 3 isn't the huge improvement that Round 2 was compared to Round 1, and the lack of AI and the impoverished career mode is a disappointment. That said, Round 3 is still one hell of an addicting multiplayer game that provides hours and hours of hardcore boxing fun. The toned-down haymakers, better balancing, and inclusion of various styles makes playing with your buddy an awesome experience, and the mechanics are so good it even makes fighting against the CPU worthwhile in the beginning. It's not to be missed if you have gaming roommates or friends, but it's not to be counted on if you regularly forget what the sun looks like.

I really wanted to like FIFA Street 2. Really. Even though screenshots don't seem like it does, the DS version looks great -- at the very least I appreciate the effort that went into the visual engine driving the product. Control could have definitely used some work, but with a little practice the touch screen analog stick mechanism can be playable. But the game falls apart with unnecessary gameplay quirks and bugs, things that just can't be ignored, an element that absolutely should have been ironed out before the game shipped. And when you add that the design isn't all that exciting to begin with, all of this makes FIFA Street 2 a significant letdown.
