WWE 2K25 è sicuramente la migliore simulazione di wrestling disponibile al momento, prendendo il posto del suo predecessore, da cui eredita sostanzialmente tutto. La modalità Showcase di quest'anno è meno interessante della scorsa edizione, ma continua comunque a funzionare, così come tutto il resto del pacchetto, presentato senza grossi cambiamenti. Per gli appassionati di wrestling e videogiochi, la serie si conferma un punto di riferimento (nonché l'unico disponibile sul mercato), ma il modello annuale scricchiola sempre di più, soprattutto quando il gioco spinge molto anche sulle microtransazioni – come fatto quest'anno.

BLEACH Rebirth of Souls features amazing, fast-paced fighting and realistic character designs despite balancing issues and a grind-heavy unlocking system. Apart from some of the issues, it’s a thrilling fighting game for fans.

Atomfall commits to embodying everything it means to be British, and it comes out the other side all the better for it. The mystery at the heart of the alternate 1960s setting is gripping, forever teasing clues and solutions to a way out of its rural quarantine zone. Its combat systems and mechanics let the experience down, but Rebellion’s latest peaks when it makes you the countryside’s Inspector Gadget with a bunch of Leads to pursue and villagefolk to suspect.

En changeant de cap sans jamais renier ses fondamentaux, la franchise Atelier réalise une première remarquable sur consoles Xbox. On regrette forcément un manque d'ambition et/ou de moyens sur la partie technique du jeu, et un manque d'ergonomie flagrant quand il s'agit de réaliser les synthèses d'équipements et d'armes, mais globalement on a pris beaucoup de plaisir à suivre les aventures de Yumia et ses amis. L'exploration est agréable, les animations sont fluides et détaillées, mais c'est surtout du côté du système de combat que les développeurs de Gust réussissent leur pari, en parvenant à créer un système qui donne un bon coup de plumeau à la saga, et même au genre du JRPG tout entier. Une excellente surprise, qui permettra aux joueurs Xbox de découvrir la licence dans les meilleures conditions possibles.

Bleach Rebirth of Souls rappelle les jeux de baston en cel-shading qui faisaient fureur au début des années 2000. Si l’approche parfois redondante et un brin complexe des combats peut surprendre au départ, le jeu laisse rapidement entrevoir la densité de son contenu avec un roster de 32 personnages et un mode Campagne qui retrace une grande partie du manga. L'aspect technique, en revanche, est en retrait et il ne faudra donc pas s’attendre à un titre qui répond aux codes visuels actuels. Trente ans après Toshinden, Tamsoft redonne un coup de boost à la licence Bleach en jeu vidéo et ça ne pourra que faire plaisir aux fans.

Cabernet is an incredible achievement. Your Liza’s story will be unlike anyone else’s, and to manage that while creating a world of memorable characters and moments is an experience all its own. The impressive variety of quests makes for a highly replayable adventure as well. As much as I tried to uncover my first time through, I still barely scratched the surface with some of the characters I met. With complex themes like blood consumption being a reflection of alcoholism, the immense weight of living forever, and trying to retain any sense of humanity when you are factually a monster, there are some incredibly heavy topics explored here, but they are treated with the respect and gravity necessary to tell a story that has something of value to say about them. Being a creature of the night may not always be easy, but the rewards are well worth indulging in a sip or two of Cabernet when offered.
