Yuppie Psycho is one of the few survival horror games to keep me on the edge of my seat. Though occasionally bizarre and tonally strange, it has the all the makings of a great adventure. The puzzles are engaging, the story is gripping, and the horror kept me coming back for more.

Par la force de son histoire horrifique à la limite de l'absurde, les caractères de ses personnages, et les rencontres mémorables que vous ferez, ce jeu marquera sans aucun doute le joueur insouciant qui ne s'attend pas à faire un véritable plongeon dans la folie d'une vie d'entreprise dont le cadre est bouleversé par une entité maléfique.

As it stands, Days Gone isn't some abomination but it's not up to par with what we expect from a Sony first party game. It has significant redeemable qualities to be found in its story but still fails to deliver a tight, focused narrative without loads of extra fat or a compelling enough gameplay experience.

SteamWorld Quest is far more of an RPG than it is a card game, but its deck-building twists offer an insane amount of gameplay choice. Its charming characters have tons of individual strategies to explore, which are then influenced by who else is in your party, and again by what cards you actually draw and the order you play them. Because of limited enemy variety and level design, it doesn’t change a whole lot throughout the campaign unless you actively play around with your combat options, but doing so is endlessly rewarding. Its simplified deckbuilding makes Quest an RPG that’s as accessible as it is flexible, and it’s one worth playing even if you don’t care about card games at all.

The Division 2 is a vast improvement over its predecessor straight from launch. With improvements in every area of design, whether you’re playing solo, with friends there is a wealth of content to keep you occupied. Right now, it's definitely worth the asking price and will certainly keep you coming back, but even if you wait there will be even more content to play in the coming years.

Steamworld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech is a creative infusion of card-based combat with a traditional RPG. It plays entirely unlike any other card combat game, and it’s worth a look even for those who don’t generally like the genre. While it’s light on story, less replayable than other card games, and could use some refinement when it comes to building decks and equipping characters, it’s still a fun twist on a familiar concept that’s easy to recommend.

It’s unrealistic to expect Mortal Kombat 11 on the Switch to look anywhere close to as good as the Xbox One, PS4, and PC versions – and it doesn’t – but to its credit this port is actually better than expected in that regard. It runs at a mostly consistent 60 FPS and the excellent fighting mechanics translate over perfectly. However, its “always-online” issues are amplified when playing away from home because several modes and progression systems become completely inaccessible, and a number of other strange differences in the Switch version compound on the existing problems involving MK11’s Towers of Time and Krypt modes.

Sans être révolutionnaire, Dark Devotion récite plutôt bien les codes dont il s'inspire et offre une expérience complète et exigeante, tout en restant accessible. Si l'on pourra déplorer une trop grande homogénéité dans les décors, quelques confusions dans la construction du monde ou une avarice un peu appuyée en loot, le titre de Hibernian Wortkshop reste un souls like solide, à petit prix, doté d'un gameplay intuitif une fois appréhendé, d'une ambiance agréable et de combats de boss intéressants, à défaut d'être vraiment retors. Classique certes, mais qui mérite votre attention.

Days Gone is a fairly typical open world post apocalyptic survival title that offers a few memorable mechanics and story beats, but is eventually consumed by genre clichés. Poor technical performance further hinders its chances of survival, but perhaps with time that wound will heal.

Steins;Gate Elite es una novela visual de esas que marcan una época, da igual el tiempo que pase pues siempre tendrá un lugar en nuestras estanterías y también en nuestra memoria. Realmente a nivel jugable no observamos ninguna diferencia salvo nuevas ramas de historia respecto a las versiones que hemos podido jugar hace unos años en nuestras PlayStation 3 y PlayStation Vita, siendo su mayor cambio el aspecto visual que gracias a las secuencias de anime le dan un grado más a este título que ya de por si era un imprescindible.

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster è una gran bel giocare anche su Nintendo Switch: i contenuti sono gli stessi delle altre versioni, con una colonna sonora rimasterizzata (è anche possibile selezionare l’originale) e la grafica migliorata secondo standard moderni. Non mancano espressioni buffe e animazioni legnose, lo scheletro è pur sempre quello di un titolo Playstation 2 e il lavoro svolto dalla Remaster su Playstation 3 fu controverso e spesso discutibile, soprattutto in termini di restauro dei modelli poligonali. Eppure su Nintendo Switch fa la sua piacevole figura (nonostante un aliasing a volte vistoso), anche con i 720p di risoluzione mentre si gioca in modalità portatile. L’opzione di recupero rapido con il touch screen è efficace e comoda: inutile stare a dirvi che giocato in questo modo è sicuramente “definitivo”. Se non lo avete mai vissuto, questo è il modo giusto. Uno dei tanti, almeno.
