Fade to Silence è un'esperienza survival che va presa con coscienza. Le forti limitazioni tecniche, purtroppo, penalizzano l'intera produzione. Tra vari bug, problemi tecnici ed errori di localizzazione ci troviamo tra le mani un prodotto tutto sommato coraggioso, con una buona gestione del villaggio ed un crafting discreto. Il combat system peggiora ulteriormente la situazione, divenendo l'anello debole dell'intera produzione. Sopravvivere non è poi così semplice e la minaccia del permadeath incoraggia il giocatore a gestire con cura le risorse a disposizione.

Fade to Silence est une belle réussite. Le titre est bien ficelé, attractif et assez prenant. La juxtaposition de deux logiques de jeux : l’exploration/survie et la gestion des camps est clairement l’atout majeur du jeu. La possibilité, après avoir recruté un partisan, de proposer à l’un de ses amis de l’incarner dans le jeu est une idée grandiose qui plaira à beaucoup.

Giga Wrecker Alt. has all the markings of a stellar platform puzzler, but sadly doesn’t quite manage to achieve greatness due to its lackluster boss encounters, its at times frustrating design choices, and its somewhat floaty handling. Don’t get me wrong, there’s a hell of a lot to like about the journey at hand, from its intriguing story through to its several interesting mechanics, but the fun is religiously interrupted by the game’s aforementioned drawbacks.

Outside of the excellent co-op play, World War Z is a mixed bag of issues. With no story to get invested in, the progression system is a total drag and there's little here you haven't seen done better before. However, as long as you have friends willing to join in, this shooter can be an intensely enjoyable time.

Zanki Zero è un meltin’ pot di generi, di influenze, di idee e teorie, dove ogni elemento ha una sua ponderata importanza nel quadro del gameplay. Di centrale importanza è sicuramente il comparto narrativo del gioco che, frutto dell'esperienza maturata dal team nell'ambito delle light novel, risalta senza dubbio per coraggio e originalità, e finisce per offrire uno stimolo continuo al giocatore, desideroso di saperne di più sui misteri che coinvolgono l'isola e i suoi abitanti. A questa ispirata componente narrativa si contrappone un gameplay non meno eccentrico, ma difficile da digerire per gli stomaci meno abituati dungeon crawlers o RPG di vecchia data, Anche la componente gestionale da una parte arricchisce l’opera donandole un interessante profilo strategico, dall’altra crea un muro fatto di dinamiche old school piuttosto ostiche. Si tratta, in definitiva, di un prodotto caratterizzato da tante meccaniche interessanti, ma solo se prese singolarmente. Nella sua totalità, Zanki Zero risente di un comparto tecnico e di un game design fin troppo legati a stilemi del passato, che lo rendono un titolo consigliabile solo ad una piccola fetta di pubblico: quella popolata dagli amanti di questo specifico genere di esperienze.

While it’s an unabashed Left 4 Dead clone that never extends beyond the conservative concepts and budgets that obviously constrained its development, World War Z offers up an enjoyable adventure that at times does a lot with the little it attempts. No matter whether playing the co-op campaign or competitive multiplayer, there’s enough good to the game to make the bad not feel as bad.

Sorprende que, después de tres entregas, HAL Laboratory siga introduciendo nuevas habilidades, puzles y retos, ahora con campaña cooperativa. Mortal Kombat 11 delivers on what you would expect from the acclaimed long running series of iconic blood-soaked fisticuffs. The end result, despite a painful grind, offers a solid experience that looks great, feels amazing, and succeeds in keeping the franchise alive and revitalized, yet again. Wat technische problemen die vooral naar boven komen tijdens het puzzelen kunnen het speelplezier met verder uitstekende gameplay toch redelijk verpesten. Het verhaal is erg anime-achtig en daardoor vermakelijk maar voorspelbaar. De muziek past helaas te vaak niet bij wat er gebeurt.

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster, tra tutte le riproposizioni di titoli del passato in formato collection, è probabilmente la migliore. Non solo per l'alta qualità dei giochi proposti (con ovvia preferenza per FFX), ma per l'incredibile cura che Square Enix ha messo nell'operazione, consegnando ai fan una versione che oltre che ricca di contenuti extra è anche tecnicamente sopraffina. Esplorare Spira, in alta definizione e con diverse nuove cose da fare, è un'esperienza che consiglio sopratutto a chi non l'ha mai fatto prima, perché tutti i fan della versione originale non avranno certo bisogno del mio consiglio per rivivere la storia di Tidus e Yuna.
