Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn is by no means a bad game, but in a sea of other Souls copycats, this one does very little to stand out. Put into the perspective of its multiple delays and overall unpolish, it’s clear that this is an easy skip to play better options out there. Or at least wait until it's heavily discounted…

Magical Delicacy is a unique game that easily succeeds at carving out its own niche in a competitive battleground of indie titles. It’s breathtakingly beautiful, and its Ghibli-esque cast and setting feel real, tangible, and plausible in a way that makes you excited to bring each new friend or acquaintance exactly the dish they’ve been craving. I’m hoping that it gets patched with a hint system, but even without one, the game is stuffed to the brim with charm, and it fully lives up to its name…magical.

Cependant, malgré ses bonnes intentions et certaines réussites notables, le jeu est freiné par des choix de conception qui ne plairont pas à tout le monde et par des limitations techniques. En cherchant à offrir une expérience hybride entre arcade et simulation, Hot Lap Racing peine à satisfaire pleinement les amateurs des deux genres. Cela dit, pour ceux qui cherchent une alternative aux nombreux jeux de course purement arcade disponibles sur la Switch, Hot Lap Racing mérite d’être essayé. Le jeu propose une variété de véhicules et de circuits qui plaira aux passionnés d’automobile, ainsi qu’une ambiance qui évoque les grandes heures du sport automobile.

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is an exciting action-strategy hybrid that left me yearning to know more about its inspirations and intricacies. The satisfying day-night structure of its stages evoked that overwhelming “just one more thing” feeling that easily had me losing track of time – and while it could occasionally be tainted by busy work base management deeper in, the overall experience was a delightfully unique one. It’s not the most challenging action game around, but the strategy it demands is still satisfying, and its wide range of interesting enemy designs and quiet but effective storytelling are something I’ll remember for a long while. It’s an odd thought, but I’m glad a game as enigmatic as Kunitsu-Gami exists.
