NBA 2K19 is better than ever on the court, but, like a lot of top NBA stars, the game is a bit too obsessed with making money by any means necessary. NBA 2K19 struggles to strike the right balance – the game offers some refreshing story and gameplay improvements, but they don’t quite make up for an aggressive monetization scheme that hasn’t been updated in any meaningful way. Much like its Special Edition cover star LeBron James, you can’t help but respect the accomplishments of NBA 2K19, but sometimes you may not actually like the game that much.

Destiny 2: Forsaken is shooting and looting at it's best. Taking down Uldren and conquering the Dreaming City is an absolute blast. And with the changes and additions to the sandbox, there are more ways to be a badass than we've ever seen before. Destiny is back, baby. And this time it's in it for the long haul.

SNK’s female-only fighter lacks the complexity of its older brethren but can be a glitzy over-the-top fun time if you let it. Fanservice hides a fun, simple to grasp fighting system that is deeper than you think.

SNK Heroines Tag Team Frenzy non è un gioco mediocre, tuttavia la sua struttura elementare e la pochezza dei contenuti lo rendono una sorta di party game: allegro, accessibile, ma senza particolari pretese. While not a massive shakeup to a long dormant genre, Two Point Hospital is a wonderfully crafted romp through nostalgia and hilarity. It may be too easy, but it is always entertaining and lays the foundation for something more.

For many, basketball is more than just a game, and NBA 2K19 doesn’t take that lightly. It throws every resource it has into the theatrics of the sport, creating charismatic presentation, a well-written story mode, and strong core gameplay. The series’ persistent weaknesses are still apparent in areas like the transition game and ludicrous microtransactions, but there’s so much variety to how its extensive MyLeague mode plays out that there’s always a reason to look forward to the next game of basketball.

It’s hard to fathom how a developer could put out a racing game where the fundamentals are borderline unplayable by design. I mean no one will give a toss that your customisation system is shit-hot if your game is about as fun as sharing a toothbrush with a serial dart smoker. Super Street: The Game is a car crash of game design, and one that should be sent straight to the wreckers.
