Exploring New Eridu and getting to know this charming cast both in and out of combat was a thrilling ride I was keen to keep at for hours on end. It’s not necessarily as deep as many of its gameplay inspirations, and momentum-killing hacking puzzles can sometimes sour the mood slightly – but with exhilarating, approachable combat and so many extracurricular activities to take care of, it was always easy to turn a corner and get swept back up in the captivating culture of Zenless Zone Zero.

Beyond Good & Evil: 20th Anniversary Edition toma una de las mejores obras de Michel Ancel y recupera su formato multigénero en un momento muy diferente del videojuego. Pura acción de principios de milenio en una gran aventura que mezcla mecánicas para seguir sintiéndose tan fresca y tan potente como hace casi 21 años. Ubisoft prepara el terreno para su Beyond Good and Evil 2 con una potentísima galería cargada de contenidos, un nuevo modo Speed Run y una nueva misión en el tramo final que explica mejor la historia de Jade y su naturaleza.

The long and the short of it though is that Beyond Good & Evil is still a bloody fantastic game, from its setting to characters, story, gameplay mechanics, and everything else. It’s showing its age in some quality of life aspects, but there’s nothing here that should prove too tricky for anyone to get over. It has become the best way to play BG&E, and we can only hope it spurs on any news at all of what comes next.

Notre critique de ce portage PS4/PS5 de Monster Hunter Stories 2 se montre sans doute un peu trop acerbe en se concentrant uniquement sur ses composantes graphique et technique. Mais cela n’enlève en rien les qualités intrinsèques du jeu en lui-même, qui est une digne suite du spin-off original mélangeant habilement Monster Hunter et Pokémon. Si vous ne disposez que d’une PlayStation et que cette série originale vous a toujours fait de l’œil, vous pouvez vous laisser tenter. Nous estimons cependant qu’un portage de cette qualité ne vaut pas vraiment les 40 euros demandés, mais cela dépend de la sensibilité de chacun.

L’édition Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary est tout simplement top. Elle améliore un jeu qui était déjà extraordinaire à sa sortie. L’histoire est captivante, l’ambiance est fantastique, très différente de ce dont on a l’habitude. Les graphismes sont beaux et le gameplay est agréable. Bref, ce jeu à tout pour plaire d’autant plus qu’il est proposé à petit prix. Nous ne pouvons que le conseiller à tous les amateurs de jeux d’action-aventure.

Beyond Good & Evil: 20th Anniversary Edition è un viaggio nel passato che si rivela sorprendentemente piacevole, grazie a un lavoro di rimasterizzazione che si spinge ben oltre il minimo sindacale e ad alcune piccole attenzioni rivolte anche ai controlli e al gameplay. Certo, i meriti più concreti vanno ricercati nella bontà del lavoro svolto da Michel Ancel e dai suoi collaboratori nel 2003, che ancora oggi dimostra come si sviluppino i bei giochi e ribadisce quanto sia importante non perdere l'occasione di rilanciare questa serie con Beyond Good and Evil 2.

Il fallait bien un petit coup de polish pour que Beyond Good & Evil continue à défier le temps qui passe. Sans parvenir à gommer tous les défauts de l'époque, cette remise à niveau des aventures de Jade est suffisante pour permettre aux anciens et aux nouveaux joueurs de se plonger dans ce jeu à l'atmosphère unique. Cela ne suffit évidemment pas à transformer ce qui était un très bon jeu en chef-d'œuvre pour autant, mais l'initiative a au moins le mérite de continuer à faire vivre la franchise, à défaut d'avoir des nouvelles de Beyond Good & Evil 2.

Helaas geeft het geheel van de simplistische elementen soms wel een beetje een low effort gevoel. Er is weinig moeite gedaan om mensen die niet bekend zijn met de anime te bekoren. Het is duidelijk dat Bandai Namco rekent op een trouwe fanbase van de anime om de game verkocht te krijgen. Deze fans zullen ongetwijfeld heel veel plezier halen uit Spy x Anya: Operation Memories. Het is moeiteloos charmant en brengt de sfeer van Spy x Family perfect naar jouw platform naar keuze. Voor de prijs die je er aan betaald zou het echter wel net iéts meer mogen zijn.
