Dragon’s Crown Pro is one of those games whose very existence elicits mixed reactions. The game holds up quite well as it’s just as enjoyable now as it was back in 2013. The gameplay can be on the repetitive side as is often the case with frenetic action games, but the RPG elements and story breaks help break up the monotony while multiplayer helps keep things interesting, though not adding voice chat support to online multiplayer is still a puzzling decision. The increased resolution makes a beautiful game look even better, and the ability to play cross platform with people on PlayStation 3 and Vita is a welcome feature, though including it may have come at the expense of making significant upgrades to the title. As good as Dragon’s Crown Pro may be, there are no significant additions and with only the soundtrack and visuals receiving polish there’s no point to upgrade to this version if you still have an original copy of Dragon’s Crown. But if you missed out on Dragon’s Crown five years ago, Pro is a perfect excuse to experience it.

Dragon's Crown torna su PlayStation 4 con una riedizione che non apporta nessun tipo di modifica al titolo originale dal punto di vista dei contenuti. Questo può rappresentare per alcuni un valido motivo per rinunciare all'acquisto, ma è indubbio che parliamo ancora oggi del punto più alto del proprio genere e di un acquisto quasi obbligato per tutti coloro che un lustro fa si sono persi un piccolo grande gioiello. Sperando che Vanillaware continui su questa strada e che 13 Sentinels possa innalzare ancor di più il livello delle proprie produzioni, il consiglio è di recuperare Dragon's Crown e lanciarsi a capofitto nel suo mondo fatto di fantasy e mitologia.

Il est important de comprendre que City Of Brass est un jeu qui aime prendre plus qu’il ne donne. Il est radin sur les récompenses et échoue à motiver le joueur à s’attarder plus de cinq heures dessus. Le titre reste néanmoins une expérience intéressante pour qui veut s’acharner sur un jeu (trop ?) exigeant. L’absence d’un tutoriel complet risque de décourager d’éventuels nouveaux joueurs curieux de découvrir un genre dont ils ne connaissent pas les codes. Exigeant pour certains, frustrant et inutilement punitif pour les autres, City Of Brass ne marquera sûrement pas le jeu vidéo mais restera une source d’intérêt pour les joueurs déjà adeptes de roguelite et autres die & retry. A déconseiller si vous ne faîtes pas partie de cette catégorie.

Owlboy, piccolo miracolo indie, dispiega le ali anche su Switch. Difficile non innamorarsene: merito soprattutto di una ricercatezza visiva e una pixel art di rara bellezza, di un'anima ludica devota sì ai grandi classici del passato, ma dai tratti atipici ed originali. Nello svolgimento di una storia coinvolgente in compagnia di memorabili personaggi, Owlboy mostra di possedere anche il respiro epico e il cuore dei migliori giochi d'avventura. Peccato che la conversione per Switch porti alcuni problemi, come uno schema di comandi non sempre intuitivo e fastidiosi crash che potrebbero danneggiare la godibilità dell'esperienza. Se possedete la console Nintendo, amate Zelda e i metroidvania, e non avete mai giocato Owlboy, ve lo consigliamo caldamente, senza alcuna riserva.

Non ho l'abitudine di usare il termine con leggerezza, ma trovo che Battletech sia un capolavoro nel suo genere. Dall'interazione con i personaggi alla gestione della squadra, dalla scelta delle armi alla devastazione sul campo di battaglia, ogni aspetto dell'ultima produzione Harebrained è curata e bilanciata con le altre.

Though it may not provide anywhere near the kind of substantial additions to convince veterans to invest for a second time, there’s no mistaking the care and passion Retro Studios and company have put into making DK’s most recent outing one of his best. Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze for Switch remains a stellar platformer, both in its presentation and more importantly, its finely-tuned challenge. Grueling in its difficulty, yet cunning in its delivery more so, the necessity on getting every split-second move or decision right may put off some, but those keen to stick with it — even replay a level a few more times thereafter — will quickly discover Tropical Freeze’s loop isn’t so easy to put down.

Un homenaje honesto y divertido a la época dorada de los beat 'em ups en Mega Drive. Se notan ciertos defectos que pedían a gritos algo más de testeo, pero la experiencia general es satisfactoria y tan nostálgica como cabría esperar.

Football Manager Touch 2018 sur Switch, c'est ce défenseur besogneux, dur au mal, qui te colle à la semelle jusqu'à l'ultime seconde de jeu. Un élément, certes limité techniquement, mais qui effectue son boulot sans fioriture en s'appuyant sur l'esprit et les fondamentaux de la discipline (gros volume de jeu, sens tactique, contenu XXL). On lui reprochera de rogner sur quelques aspects de la version d'origine (dimension psychologique des joueurs, contenu amputé, jouabilité moins intuitive), comme si on l'avait bridé en lui demandant de jouer uniquement de son mauvais pied, mais on pourra compter sur lui dans les moments clés et sur tous les terrains. Soit un très bon compromis pour les managers en herbe qui souhaitent dans leur effectif un soldat polyvalent, consciencieux, expérimenté, disposant d'une bonne marge de progression. Tous les aspects qui font de Football Manager Touch 2018 un leader de vestiaire par l'exemple.

Non avrei scommesso granché su Fortnite Battaglia Reale, convinto com’ero che tutto questo fenomeno fosse l’ennesima meteora videoludica destinata a scomparire presto dai radar di PC e console (e smartphone). Invece Epic Games è riuscita a proporre un titolo (in continuo mutamento tra l’altro) che sa divertire, ha delle buone meccaniche da sparatutto e un elemento tattico in più dato dalle costruzioni che fa davvero la differenza. Se riuscite a superare le prime ore in cui vi sembrerà tutto dannatamente confuso e inconcludente (ma YouTube vi aiuterà un sacco), farete fatica a non rimanerne assuefatti.
