Frostpunk is a solid entry into the city-builder genre with a unique survival twist, and one that's bound to appeal to those who have enjoyed similar games. Still, it lacks the personality and depth to win over anyone who doesn't already love micromanaging workforces and watching numbers go up.

Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia riporta il franchise sui suoi binari storici, ma spostando l'inquadratura su un singolo e ristretto momento dell'epoca inglese. Si tratta di un prodotto fondamentalmente conservativo, realizzato con cura e meticolosità dal punto di vista documentario, artistico e strategico: al giocatore si offre non solo un incredibile numero di possibilità, ma la maggior parte di esse possiede un livello di profondità davvero considerevole. Non esiste un unico stile di gioco sempre in grado di funzionare: i ritmi di Thrones of Britannia dipendono dal giocatore, così come la scelta di agire sfruttando maggiormente le armi della diplomazia o quelle della guerra. Si poteva sicuramente fare qualcosa di più dal punto di vista tecnico, e una volta raggiunta l'egemonia sul territorio non è che si prospettino chissà quali sfide... ma agli amanti del genere basterà semplicemente iniziare una nuova campagna e sperimentare nuovi percorsi.

Sorti en 2015 sur PC, PS4, Xbox One et Wii U, c’est tout récemment que Jotun a débarqué sur le Nintendo eShop de la Switch (le 27 avril dernier), et force est de constater que ça marche plutôt bien. Le portage est de très bonne facture, grâce à la qualité de l’écran de la console en mode portable, même s’il est préférable d’y jouer avec une manette et votre TV pour les phases de combats avec lesdits Jotuns. D’autant plus qu’il n’est pas proposé à un prix exorbitant, une quinzaine d’euros à peine, pour 5 à 6 heures de jeu. Ce qui est plutôt correct, non ?

South Park: Scontri Di-retti è un ottimo sequel che compensa un umorismo meno tagliente con un sistema di combattimento strategico molto più coinvolgente - grazie anche ai controlli touch in versione portatile - e alcuni ingegnosi rompicapi che mantengono sempre alto l'interesse del giocatore. Superata una fase iniziale un po' fiacca, anche la storia prende il volo, peraltro proponendoci una delle migliori performance del mitico Cartman, ma abbiamo l'impressione che soltanto i fan dei fumetti supereroistici coglieranno le citazioni più divertenti. Peccato per i caricamenti sensibilmente più lunghi di questa versione, soprattutto se consideriamo che non è ancora prevista una conversione de Il Bastone della Verità.

Un plataformas exigente y muy divertido, que apuesta por una curva de dificultad perfecta, mecánicas muy variadas y un estupendo multijugador local. La versión para Nintendo Switch incluye un modo más accesible, protagonizado por Funky Kong.

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze makes another strong case for the argument that Nintendo needs to port every single one of its Wii U games to the Switch. DK’s latest adventure is one of the most clever, joyful platforming experiences I’ve had in a while, and it adds just enough newness to the series to keep the formula engaging without going overboard. There might not be enough (or anything) to convince Wii U owners to play it again, but long-lost Nintendo fans who came back for the Switch have another must-play game to add to their growing libraries.

Avec pourtant ses quelques années au compteur, difficile de prendre à défaut ce Donkey Kong country : Tropical Freeze. Que ce soit par sa conception graphique, son level design ou encore son gameplay, difficile de reprocher quoi que ce soit au titre 2.5D de Retro Studio. Une vraie réussite, que la version Switch permet un ajout supplémentaire en terme d’accessibilité, rendant le jeu jouable et parfait pour tous.
