The ever so popular board game, Gloomhaven has finally made it’s way onto Xbox in a glorious digital format. Despite enjoying board games however this adaptation did not do much for me personally. The system is complex and something I could not grasp super well. The tutorial does a fine job at holding your hand though and seemingly goes over every detail that makes Gloomhaven popular amongst its original fans, it was just too slow for me. That said I think fans of the actual board game would enjoy the thoroughness this version has in it as well as the new content that does not exist in the physical format.

Disregard the reviewers who can’t appreciate a bit of horndog humor- Mugen Souls Z is routinely funny. The downside is the occasional sections between the snickers, with conversations that sporadically drag.

If you liked The Great War and subscribe to Netflix, my recommendation couldn’t be simpler: duh! It’s free, it’s fun, and offers more of the same best elements of its predecessor, at least if you can figure out how to access it. If you’re a Netflix subscriber but haven’t played the first game, go ahead anyway! Despite the overlap between them, there’s really no reason you need to have played the first game to enjoy the second. (Although don’t be surprised if you end up going back and picking it up afterward.) If you’re not into Netflix it’s a much harder sell for such a short and easy game, and having played on an iPad, I can’t imagine enjoying it as much on a smaller phone if that’s all you’ve got. But whatever your circumstances, Valiant Hearts: Coming Home is a diverting little successor that knew not to fix what wasn’t broken, while adding an insightful new angle to make it worthwhile in its own right. Sure, it’s a bit too streamlined for its own good, but for a little slice of wartime make-believe, it’s a blast.

Fear The Spotlight is a brief, nostalgic love letter to 90s horror games, blending simple stealth and puzzle mechanics. While it doesn't break new ground in the genre, its atmospheric visuals and sound design provide a few hours of engaging fun for fans of retro horror, though it may not offer enough depth to warrant a second playthrough.

Ad Infinitum Anche se non innova in alcun modo il genere "horror psicologico", Ad Infinitum presenta una storia ben scritta, che riesce ad esplorare abilmente i traumi della guerra del protagonista. La mancanza di combattimenti convenzionali limita tantissimo gli incontri con i nemici, i quali finiscono per diventare una sorta di estensione degli enigmi presenti nel gioco, ma il design di queste creature è meraviglioso, soprattutto dei boss, davvero grotteschi. Manca un po' di rifinitura qua e là e il frame rate è fin troppo ballerino. Tuttavia, per i fan del genere, il titolo di Nacon e Hekate può sicuramente essere un'esperienza più che sufficiente da vivere in prima persona.
