The Many Pieces of Mr. Coo è un prodotto visivamente distintivo e di grande carattere, ma non sempre a questa grande qualità si accompagna una pari brillantezza nella realizzazione degli enigmi e delle situazioni presenti a schermo. A nostro avviso, Mr. Coo rischia, talvolta, di risultare un esercizio di stile fine a sé stesso, anche se l'avventura riesce a divertire per la sua breve durata e a rimanere senz'altro impressa per la peculiarità dei personaggi proposti. Sono luci e ombre di un prodotto spiccatamente autoriale, che vale senz'altro la pena di provare nell'attesa di un seguito - si spera - più robusto e strutturato.

It’s said that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. LEGO has Mega Bloks. E.T. has Mac and Me. Now Forza Horizon has The Crew Motorfest. To be fair, Motorfest is a robust racer with a confident sense of style, a quality arcade handling model, and a long list of generally well-planned events right out of the box. However, the shift to a smaller map has seen it lose a part of its old identity, boats and aircraft feel like they’ve been sidelined, and some of its event Playlists work a lot better than others. Ultimately, The Crew Motorfest is a little more Ice Ice Baby and a little less Under Pressure. It’s a catchy enough copy, but it ain’t exactly back with a brand new invention.

In spite of the occasional bug and basic gameplay systems, Ad Infinitum manages to capture my attention through its imaginative exploration of the horror of battle. Delving between the shell-shocked home of the Von Schmitts and the ash swept trenches of war was a unique perspective on the horror genre that I found to be both poignant and well worth exploring.

Ad Infinitum nous amène dans un univers sombre, obscur, où la mort, la folie et les hallucinations sont monnaie courante, avec une frontière entre réalité et cauchemars des plus fines. Son gameplay basique de prime abord propose quelques subtilités intéressantes qui, couplées à un sound design exquis et une mise en scène solide, nous plongent avec brio dans son monde. Tout n’est pas parfait, mais on prend plaisir à suivre ce soldat dans sa tourmente et l’immersion est totale.
