Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon can be hard to love, especially if you’re coming off of FromSoftware’s slow but inevitable march toward more approachable design philosophies. This is a game not entirely divorced from its studio’s recent context but is unwavering in its sortie to be holistically true to the core themes, mechanics, and nature of the Armored Core franchise. It is not unkind in its brutality, often giving you an overwhelming set of tools to achieve any given goal but neither is it all that concerned with ensuring you keep up with its cold, detached world. Rubicon will in turn make you cold to its violence, revelling in refined mechanics and considered systems that remove you from your actions until the game is ready to bring all of that weight to bear with gravity, mass, and fire-red blood.

Age of Empires IV hace lo que parecía imposible y adapta de forma excelente su frenética acción estratégica al mando de Xbox Series X|S. Todo el trabajo realizado con la adaptación a consolas de AoE II Definitive Edition se ve aquí perfeccionado en un port que está a la altura de una saga tan inmensa e importante para la industria del videojuego como es Age of Empires. Si te gusta la estrategia en tiempo real y eres un apasionado de la Edad Media no tienes excusa. Pruébalo, que además está en Game Pass.

While the plot and characters in Mediterranea Inferno are interesting, the lack of any real gameplay makes this a difficult game to recommend. If you want an interesting journey but don’t want much involvement, then this could be one for you.

Blasphemous 2 saura sans aucun doute satisfaire les fans du genre et encore plus ceux du premier opus. Avec une progression satisfaisante et un monde rempli de récompenses intéressantes. Une deuxième moitié un poil trop dirigiste et surtout sa difficulté parfois injuste rebutera peut-être certains mais nous sommes malgré ces défauts, face à un Metroidvania plus que compétent sur tout les fronts.

Blasphemous 2 è esattamente ciò che un sequel dovrebbe essere. Va a limare le imperfezioni precedenti e nel frattempo mette in piedi un'avventura nuova ma al tempo stesso familiare in alcuni aspetti del gameplay e meccaniche di base, il tutto riuscendo a implementare novità sufficienti a rendere questo nuovo pellegrinaggio accattivante. La presenza di tre armi, intercambiabili a piacere, rende i combattimenti ben più gestibili e si sposa con l'aggiunta di elementi quali la Pala d'Altare e la suddivisione di Preghiere in Canti e Versetti. Aver semplificato gli spostamenti è probabilmente la miglioria per eccellenza, data la sua natura metroidvania ricca di backtracking e segreti, e al netto di qualche piccola ombra ancora presente, siamo davanti a un ottimo secondo capitolo.

Blasphemous 2 è il ritorno in grandissimo stile del Penitente, che deve mondare i propri peccati (e con essi quelli del mondo) impedendo l'avvento di un nuovo Bambino Miracoloso, in grado di gettare il mondo nell'oblio più totale. A differenza del primo capitolo cambiano le armi, i nemici, e i poteri del nostro protagonista. Tutto è più grande e più curato rispetto al precedente capitolo, e con una difficoltà tarata verso l'alto rispetto alla media dei metroidvania.

Avec Armored Core 6, FromSoftware montre avec brio que son savoir-faire ne se limite pas qu’à Dark Souls ou Elden Ring. Le studio japonais livre ici un jeu d’action avec un gameplay assez irréprochable, à la fois tactique, exigeant et ultra-dynamique, fer de lance d’un titre au rythme effréné… Ne vous fiez pas à la structure prétendument old-school avec des missions individuelles. Fires of Rubicon vous plonge directement dans l’action, et sait dégainer quand il le faut des phases linéaires, plus ouvertes, des boss, sans oublier des panoramas toujours aussi impressionnants. Malgré une légère déception pour les ennemis majeurs, dans la 2nd partie de l’aventure, et un petit manque de contenu, Armored Core 6 est un titre addictif, qui colle à la peau. Un excellent jeu d’action, même si vous n'en pincez pas pour les méchas.

First Contact Entertainment affiche des ambitions fortes avec des promesses de contenu régulier pour Firewall Ultra et une superbe prise en compte des fonctionnalités du PS VR 2. On pensait tenir l’un des futurs hits du casque d’autant que la fondation du gameplay est solide. Mais le studio se perd quelque peu en route avec un enrobage tout sauf ergonomique, des options ou une utilisation des accessoires VR parfois trop simplifiées et un matchmaking loin d'être au point. On s’y amuse tout de même, mais on sent qu’il y a un potentiel qui n’est pas exploité à sa juste valeur. Son prix contre balance quelque peu le bilan. Espérons que des MAJ rapides corrigent ce qui peut l'être.
