It sucks that Chapter 2 on the PlayStation VR2 is still unacceptably janky despite major performance and graphical improvements, but when its bugs aren’t driving me to quit in anger, its moment-to-moment action is undeniably improved over the stealth-oriented original. Moreover, the PS VR2’s impressive detail, haptic feedback, and all-new dynamic lighting systems mixed with the low black point of the headset’s OLED panels give way to a spooky atmosphere that transports me directly into the zombie apocalypse, making it well worth the hassle.

Ce n’est pas toujours évident d’attribuer une note à un jeu vidéo, ni de nuancer son propos. Et on s’en rend surtout compte en testant des productions comme Mato Anomalies, un titre qui essaie sincèrement de proposer quelque chose d’original et de complet, mais qui souffre d’une technique ridiculement décevante, du moins dans cette version Nintendo Switch. Alors évidemment, la technique ne fait pas tout, et bien sûr qu’il est possible de passer au dessus des très réguliers ralentissements ou petits bugs qui gangrènent l’aventure sur la console portable de Big N. Mais s’il vous intrigue, et il y a toutes les raisons pour que ce soit le cas si vous aimez le RPG, notamment grâce à son univers très intéressant, alors on vous conseille surtout de l’essayer sur PC, Xbox ou PlayStation.

Chi compie il grande passo e acquista un visore di realtà virtuale vuole trarre il massimo dal proprio investimento, quindi non è raro guardare alle offerte del settore al fine di crearsi una libreria videoludica che si dimostri pregna di esperienze memorabili. In tal senso, The Walking Dead Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2 Retribution cade in una landa di mezzo: è capace di offrire soddisfazioni, ma non riesce a sfruttare appieno le risorse a disposizione del nuovo PlayStation VR2. Coloro che non hanno già vissuto questa specifica saga videoludica devono inoltre tenere in considerazione che Skydance Interactive non sia stata in grado di offrire un’esperienza di gioco completamente autonoma, quindi i neofiti avranno la percezione di essersi persi per strada dei pezzi. A proposito di perdere pezzi, va altresì riconosciuto che lo smembrare zombi in VR resta sempre e comunque un intrattenimento semplice quanto divertente: se desiderate uno svago concettualmente leggero e con poche pretese, questo titolo saprà appagare i vostri istinti più splatter.

There's so much about Tchia that feels at odds with what I'm accustomed to considering "good" game design, but it's also taught me to throw a lot of those ideas out the window. Tchia is a game that's exactly what it wants to be, and that makes it something that everyone needs to play. It's refreshing, charming, earnest, honest and – most importantly – a heap of fun.

Though it has its flaws, Tchia is one of the best open world games I've played in a long time. The variety of things to do in its gorgeous world will keep most any player occupied for the duration of their playthrough, and will almost certainly leave them glad they gave the title a chance. Tchia è un titolo che merita di essere giocato perché, al netto di qualche sbavatura tecnica e di alcune ripetizioni nel gameplay, ha un cuore davvero grande. Ci mette passione, entusiasmo e una storia che vale la pena di essere raccontata. È un gioco che ha chiaro il suo scopo e che prova a dare il massimo in ogni segmento. Le ambientazioni sono bellissime, curate, colorate e donano un grande senso di pace. Un titolo che mette al primo posto la tranquillità e la serenità, anche se vuole raccontare una storia che, sebbene non sia esageratamente lunga, si dettaglia e si sviluppa in maniera più che piacevole. Non siamo davanti al capolavoro del secolo, ma senza dubbio ci troviamo di fronte a una chicca da non perdere e che farà piacere agli abbonati a PlayStation Plus.

While Tchia's story doesn't find the steadiest of footing, its world and portrayal of culture are outstanding. The gameplay is also a lot of fun, even with a decent amount of padding to keep you busy in the gorgeous open world. New Caledonia is certainly worth the visit in this digital representation.

Tchia feels really unlike any experience we've ever had with a video game. Full of heart, but occasionally lacking direction, it's a unique experience showcasing the love the dev team has for New Caledonia. Everything about Tchia evokes a wonderful tropical vibe, full of rich history and culture, from the folklore elements of the storyline to the authentic voice acting in New Caledonia's native language, Drehu. Unfortunate bugs let it down and stop players experiencing it to its fullest, but a solid, enjoyable, and ultimately beautiful game is at its core. It's evident that a lot of love has been poured into this really exciting debut from Awaceb, and as a day one PS Plus Extra release, it's bound to bring a lot of joy to a lot of players.

ANNO 1800 réussi son pari de se rendre jouable et agréable sur consoles de salon. C’est plutôt beau, et le gameplay à la manette est réussi bien qu’il demandera un petit temps d’adaptation pour se laisser dompter. En revanche, si le jeu est joli à l'œil, il se traîne quelques couacs techniques qui pourront faire pester les moins joueurs les moins patients. Certains chargements sont franchement longs, les textures ont parfois du mal à s’afficher lorsque l’on utilise le zoom et le framerate semble être au ralenti bien souvent. Il est également dommage de constater que le jeu n’est pas aussi bien fourni que sa version PC. Il manque pas mal de contenus mine de rien. Et même si en l’état vous aurez d’ores et déjà de quoi jouer de nombreuses heures, on ne peut pas s’empêcher d’être déçu. Quoi qu’il en soit, difficile de bouder son plaisir, ANNO 1800 sur consoles est réussi et arrivera à satisfaire les fans du genre.
