Despite some wonky controls and a bland art style, Scrap Metal is a fun car combat game. The variety of missions will hold your interest and the upgrade system allows for a lot of customization. There are definitely some arcade thrills to be had here if you can get the hang of the controls. Fifteen bucks might be a bit steep, but it's definitely cheaper than wrecking your own car.

Zenonia 2 may not advance the ball, but the first Zenonia was an excellent game – one of the iPhone’s best – and so by changing very little, Gamevil still offers a pretty awesome adventure. The interface enhancements are uniformly welcome, such as the ability to tap through menus or create hot keys. The quest is enormous and offers dozens of hours of play. So, even if the second verse is largely the same as the first, Zenonia 2 remains a song worth listening to again.

Let’s face it, though. If you’re currently playing EQ2, then chances are you’re already up to your waist in Sentinel’s Fate and loving it. It’s an expansion in the most accurate sense of the word – it expands everything that EQ2 already had, but doesn’t really add anything different. If you’re a new player looking to start, Sentinel’s Fate – like the expansion before it – comes with the original game and all prior expansions included, so it’s extremely good value. If you’re looking to come back to EQ2 after a hiatus, you simply need to ask yourself if you want more of the same. For my money, Sentinel’s Fate brings a good amount of content, but doesn’t do enough to truly excite.

Reviewing a poor submarine sim is tough because there are just too few opportunities for comparison. It's like living in a town with only one pizza place. Even if it's not very good, you'll still go every once in a while if you happen to be in the mood for pizza. You have to accept that if you want a new submarine game, you'll just have to make the best of it. In terms of positive features, this one looks stunning and really delivers those intense wolfpack hunt moments. Taking out a pair of destroyer escorts and then picking off the unprotected convoy is an amazing experience, but you're constantly distracted by the bugs and poor design decisions. We hope that with another few months the community will iron out the worst of these.

The battlefields of TimeGate's multiplayer-focused shooter Section 8 are big and loaded with opportunities for action. There are contests for control points and turrets, dynamic combat missions that pop up all over, tanks and troops falling from the sky, and a readily customizable loadout of weapons, tools, and passive skills. If you'd prefer to sneak into enemy installations by bypassing sensor array detection or jetpack right into the heart of a fight with a machine gun roaring, you can do it in Section 8. It's a game that pulls its ideas from a wealth of other titles past, and does so effectively, but not without stumbling over some control and combat speedbumps. If you're willing to put in some time to learn the game's systems and are eager to work as part of a team, then it's easy to have a good time with this one.

It's taken a very long while for this long-lost installment of the Castlevania series to finally be found, in America, on a piece of Nintendo hardware, but it's finally arrived -- and it's been worth the wait. Rondo of Blood really is one of the finest sequels in the series, and Richter's adventure is all the richer for the added perspective these extra years have added to the experience. This design combines the straightforward vampire-hunting action of the earliest games with hints of the open-world exploration that would later come to characterize the series in Symphony and beyond, and walking the bridge between those two eras is something that's been incredibly fulfilling for this old Nintendo loyalist to do.

Such problems are not enough to detract from MotoGP 09/10’s successes, and there are enough of these to make it just about worthwhile for anyone desperately itching for some authentic action. There’s a generosity in this regard too, with the 2009 season content that’s on the disk to be joined by a free update that brings with it all of 2010’s new riders and tracks. It’s a refreshing strategy that merits applause, but it’s not enough to hide the fact that, as bike racing games go, this has been done and done so much better by this generations first wave of MotoGP games.

I haven't had this much fun with an open-world game in years. Just Cause 2 is over-the-top and insanely fun. There are some issues in the game's presentation and the checkpoint system is far from perfect, but Just Cause 2 is otherwise a must-play for adrenaline junkies. Rico Rodriguez might just be my new hero.

Like translating from one language to another, portable versions of console titles require thoughtful interpretation to work well. For whatever reason, it feels like A2M shoved Dante's Inferno as hard as it could into the game development version of Google Translate and have wound up with something that lost most of its meaning and intention in the process. Gamers looking for a fun, well made action title should be looking elsewhere.

The events of Prison Break: The Conspiracy run concurrently with those of the series’ first season. It’s outcome is the same – they escape – and it doesn’t reveal anything that will please fans or cast new light on the show’s characters or plot lines. If you’re an absolute Prison Break diehard, don’t buy this game – steal a copy instead, surrender yourself to the police and then get sent to an actual jail – because serving a real sentence couldn’t possibly be harder time than this.

Resonance of Fate is for the hardcore JRPG fan. It can be difficult and confusing, and requires a lot of grinding and heavy lifting to make it through to the close. The visuals and storytelling don't do it any favors, either. I found the battle system to be the saving grace. It's unique and requires a lot of strategy and commitment, even while offering a turn-based system at the core. Resonance of Fate won't go down as a classic RPG, but it will give those looking for something different a nice adventure.

If the learning curve of the original Supreme Commander proved a little too steep for you, then you'll find a lot to like about the sequel. Gas Powered Games streamlined its resource and upgrade systems to make a game that's easier to play, and thanks to a revamped interface much easier to control with a gamepad. The pace is faster, the factions more diverse, and it's a whole lot easier to get the impressively large and powerful experimental units out onto the field, delivering an experience that's more inviting and immediately rewarding. It's a real-time strategy game with a huge amount of depth and a relatively friendly interface that lets you stay in control of large-scale battles between warring robotic factions. The single-player campaign doesn't offer much in the way of entertainment, but if you're looking at this for the online play, you won't be disappointed, as it's a big step up from the Xbox 360 version of the original.
