The bottom line is that Rival Swords is the same game as The Two Thrones with added Wii controls that sometimes better the experience and sometimes worsen it, but if I had to choose, I'd take a traditional control setup to the new gesture system. Bearing that in mind, I'm telling you to pick up the GameCube version of Two Thrones and play it on Wii if you need a fix of Prince of Persia. It's a lot cheaper and you aren't sacrificing the gore factor, if that's your thing. At the same time, I'm conceding that if you do buy Rival Swords for Nintendo's next-generation console, you won't be walking away with a bad game. It is nearly as fun and engaging today as it was when it was first released in December of 2005 for the other systems. I have, however, scored it significantly lower on Wii than on the other systems. I've done that not only because it's a year-late port, but also because the newly added controls actually lessen the end gameplay endeavor and because Ubisoft has otherwise brought nothing new to the table, choosing to completely ignore the prospect of adding new content or using Wii's added horsepower to its fullest.

Rocky Balboa the game is the complete opposite of Rocky Balboa the movie. That is, it isn't very interesting and it has a severe lack of fun. Had the control scheme been simplified and the movements been made looser, Rocky could have had a better chance. Stronger quality control and faster load times would have helped too. As it stands now, though, the Italian Stallion's last fight isn't a memorable one... or to quote Rocky's trainer Duke from the previous motion picture, "It's a hurtin' bomb."

Honeycomb Beat's a nice try at giving DS gamers a unique puzzle design, but ultimately it's nothing more than a basic diversion. It offers challenge for a few hours of play, but without that little addictive spark it's hard to see this game ever making it up into the ranks of other handheld puzzle games. This would have made a really good option in a collection of puzzle games, but it has a hard time standing on its own.

SEGA's decade-old tennis engine is so good that it still makes for a decent time-waster all these years later, especially for this "on the go" format. Despite its few refinements and lack of infrastructure or multiplayer mini-games, Virtua Tennis 3's user-friendly mechanics and fast-paced arcade style can't be ignored. There's no doubt that it's a strong pickup for casual sports fans or dedicated SEGAphies, but for those of us who played its predecessors, it may be a little too familiar.

Enchanted Arms is a slightly above-average RPG at best. Yes, it's the first role-player to feature traditional turn-based combat on the PS3, but there are so many shortcomings to the actual game that I can only recommend the $60 investment to the hardest of hardcore RPG fans. There's nothing here that stands out. You've done it all before.

Test Drive Unlimited brings so many things to the table that we’ve been waiting forever to be included in a racing game. From the fact that the entire game world is essentially a lobby for multiplayer gaming to real-world open ended racing, Test Drive Unlimited gives you the option to let your imagination set the course. The game successfully brings the feel of the MMO world to the racing genre making for a unique game. The driving itself isn’t the best around, especially when you get on a motorcycle. Just the way that an MMORPG can be enjoyable without an amazing combat system, Test Drive Unlimited is fun without the greatest driving experience. With a little more polish, some extra customization options, and an improved driving system, you’d have a racer that could compete with the big dogs. Little was changed in the move from Xbox 360 to PC, but it unfortunately appears that some of the buzz surrounding this title has waned making for a smaller online community.

Brave starts off on the right foot, but stumbles through just about every other section in the game. The whole experience is about wasted opportunity, platforming clich¿s, and a camera that won't quit in its attempts to make you want to plant your controller in your TV. The style is nice and, if it was developed with more care, it could've been a fun and decent platformer. As it is, it just makes you want to go and play Jak and Daxter again instead.

The casual games in Pogo Island are good for a few minutes play, but they don't have enough of that addictive quality to stand by themselves. Five in a pack is a decent start but it's clearly not enough because I was really looking to get more out of this compilation. Yes, the addition of the Pogo.com link to move your earned tokens is a pretty nice encouragement to keep playing, but I'd love to get a few more games in here to spice up the variety.

What a pleasant surprise Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords turned out to be. The unlikely marriage of puzzle gameplay with RPG mechanics makes for one of the most addictive DS experiences yet. While there are a handful of graphical and audio flaws, the core game is solid as a rock. What is perhaps the most telling evidence of Puzzle Quest's fun factor is that I'll still be playing long after I've finished this review.

And in the end, the gameplay just doesn’t make Heatseeker a must-have title on PS2, especially when considering the robust competition. Dogfights are relatively basic, as you’ll usually be able to target and obliterate enemy fighters well before they’re in range, and when you do get into heated fights it’s usually a pretty quick and manageable situation. Graphically the game can be extremely painful, as it often rests at PSP quality, and the overall presentation isn’t much better, as menu navigation and pre-flight is pretty basic as well. Heatseeker has its moments, and they usually result in a blaze of glory that’ll get your heart pumping, but those moments are few and far between, as the majority of the game is a low-res, basic flight experience with very little to justify a semi-demanding price. When factoring in amazing flight games such as the Ace Combat series on PS2 (many of which can be found between $10 - $20 now), there’s simply no competition, as Heatseeker looks, feels, and plays like a first-generation PS2 game; nothing more.
