Wetrix is another hiqh quality puzzle game that can proudly stand next to its N64 competition, Tetrisphere and Bust-A-Move. The camera and control problems and the slightly flawed multiplayer mode knock it down in our final rating, but if you're looking for another game that you can just pop in and play anytime, this is it. Wetrix is an addictive waste of time for one player and shows that there is still room for innovation and originality in the puzzle genre. Couple that with its low sales price and you've got another Infogrames/Ocean classic and a splashing debut for British developer Zed Two. Buy it, but don't expect to immediately like it. It takes time.

If you enjoyed Descent then you're going to love Forsaken -- it's really that simple. Although it might get boring after a while, the game is interesting enough in the single player mode. But plug in a few more controllers and you get one of the most gripping shooters of the year. Rarely is there such a good combination between technology and action-packed gameplay. While the N64 version outperforms the PSX Forsaken in almost every respect, it doesn't have as much personality as the PC original.

Bust-A-Move 2 perfectly shows again: It's not all about graphics and sound -- gameplay makes a good puzzle game. Bust-A-Move remains one of the most addictive puzzlers since Tetris and if you at all care about puzzlers (and are willing to sacrifice many, many hours of your life), get it now! However, it should be said that it's time for the franchise to move on. Nostalgia aside, there is no reason why Bust-A-Move can't feature awesome Dolby Surround tracks, more features and some spiffy graphics effects. Considering the high price of cartridge games, I suggest you shop around until you find the game at a good bargain price somewhere (or for another console, if you have one). But make no mistake about it: If you like multiplayer puzzlers, this game will get its happy, pastel-colored claws on you and never let go.

Nintendo's 1080° Snowboarding is a remarkable game and our hats are off to the big 'N.' With a handful of unique tracks, air-make and half-pipe modes, two-player and Rumble Pak support, an ultra-realistic look with spectacular graphics and tons of tricks, jumps, and air there is a lot of fun to be had with this game. We only wish Nintendo had spent a few more months implementing additional tracks and removing invisible walls before its release. Still, snowboarding fanatic or not, you must get this game.

If you absolutely suck at playing games or you're a 2D newcomer (or you're six years old), this game is a must-buy. Everyone else, save your money and rent it for a weekend. Two days is unfortunately enough to see everything the game has to offer. Yoshi's Story will most definitely sell many many copies based on the reputation of its predecessor. But there will be a lot of unhappy gamers once they discover that Nintendo's mantra seems to have changed to Quality over Quantity of Levels. Trust us: You'll love it when you rent the game, but don't buy it. You'll finish it in a weekend -- but don't quit playing until you have seen the fourth level on each page...

Nagano Winter Olympics '98 is a flawed game with a few highlights that has "hurry and get it out in time for the Olympics" written all over it. There is virtually nothing here that even comes close to Sega's Winter Heat, or Epyx's classic Winter Games. If the TV-coverage of the Games isn't enough for you, you will probably want to rent Nagano for a day or two -- but be warned that this is not a good multiplayer title. Konami has shown what it can do with International Superstar Soccer (programmed by its in-house team "Major A"), but Diamond Dusts's first 64-bit effort will leave you out in the cold. This one won't win any medals. Okay, I'll stop with the puns, but please don't buy this game.
