Jump Force va a lo básico en su historia y su jugabilidad, y gana en fortalezas cuando se tienen en cuenta sus pretensiones de ser un espectáculo. Sus combates no pasarán a la historia por su complejidad, pero resultan divertidos y muy dinámicos. Es un crossover sin complejos que se rinde a los fans de la manera más accesible posible.

Con oltre 40 personaggi fra i quali scegliere e la spassosa frenesia che ne caratterizza le battaglie, Jump Force riesce a centrare gran parte dei suoi obiettivi ed a ricreare sugli schermi casalinghi l’intensità dei migliori momenti delle serie che hanno fatto breccia nel cuore di tutti: scagliare un Detroit Smash contro Frieza, Dio o Barbanera, oppure sparare alle evocazioni di Yugi con il possente revolver di Ryo Saeba consente di risvegliare a più riprese il nostro bambino interiore, e in tal senso Spike Chunsoft ha realizzato un lavoro encomiabile. Per sua sfortuna, tutti gli elementi di contorno, compresa la storia costruita e raccontata in maniera decisamente maldestra, abbisognano di una robusta levigata e risultano essere più un male necessario che un valore aggiunto. Consigliato senza dubbio agli amanti delle serie che Bandai Namco ha deciso di includere, e a quanti cercano un picchiaduro accessibile con cui trascorrere un bel po’ di tempo.

Il character design realistico che tanto ha fatto discutere si è rivelato soltanto uno dei problemi di Jump Force, un titolo evidentemente sviluppato in fretta e furia da una compagnia che voleva semplicemente dare ai fan dei manga un picchiaduro spettacolare e immediato senza preoccuparsi di curare a fondo non solo il gameplay, ma anche la grafica e il sonoro. A conti fatti, si riesce a consigliare Jump Force solo ai fan più sfegatati: le missioni diventano ripetitive dopo qualche ora, la storia non incoraggia ad affrontarle e la componente ruolistica lascia un po' il tempo che trova, ma è indubbio che trovarsi davanti a questo miscuglio giocabile di personaggi e universi saprà anche divertire qualcuno.

Jump Force is the kind of game that would usually just come and go due to how unimpressive and flawed of an effort it is, and it’s more than likely that that’s exactly what it is going to do. And yet, buried beneath all of the bad is some honest amount of good. It’s almost a shame that Jump Force wasn’t more of a mess in everything other than its 3-vs-3 fights, because the game would be a whole lot more enjoyable if we were able to laugh at its terribleness more often.

While it can be enjoyable, Jump Force’s power level is nowhere near 9000. This is unfortunate, as the concept for Jump Force is a good idea at its basic level and it’s clear the developers are passionate about the source material but the title ultimately does not live up to the idea’s potential. The story fails to really explain what’s going on and who all these characters are, but also is able to do so in a way where you don’t really care that you’re missing out on what should be pertinent information. The gameplay itself is enjoyable though not groundbreaking, and while there’s a fair amount of fun to be had here, there are more worthwhile options out there.

Jump Force has major problems, but it can actually be really fun. It feels tedious when playing missions, and repetitive at times in combat. But using your favourite characters' abilities in battle remains fun throughout. It's going to be an acquired taste, but anime fans will actually find a lot to enjoy here. Just stick to the online play, where you can remain blissfully ignorant of the awful cutscenes and animation.

Con un plantel de luchadores formado por personajes de Dragon Ball, Naruto, One Piece y tantas otras grandes sagas de la revista Shonen Jump, es una pena que Spike Chunsoft no haya sabido aprovechar la ocasión para crear un videojuego de peleas de mayor categoría. Es divertido, sí, y también espectacular, pero con su discreto sistema de combate y peor aún, su nefasto modo historia, Jump Force se queda lejos de ser ese juego de lucha imprescindible para cualquier aficionado al manga, es un juego para fans.

La promesse était alléchante sur le papier, mais Jump Force ne répond jamais aux attentes placées dans un tel projet regroupant sous une bannière commune la crème des franchises mangas du Shonen Jump. Le fan service ne peut se suffire à lui-même. La réalisation datée et la direction artistique déséquilibrée laissent à désirer, malgré des combats épiques et nerveux quoique brouillons. Le titre de Bandai Namco profite simplement du 50ème anniversaire du magazine japonais.

Difficile de conseiller ce Jump Force à qui que ce soit. Il faut vraiment être accro à de nombreux mangas représentés ici pour le trouver supportable en tant que plaisir coupable. Il faut tout de même lui reconnaître un gameplay un peu supérieur sur le papier à celui de J-Stars Victory VS+. Cependant, il est trop brouillon dans sa réalisation et sur les actions pour que l’on ne râle pas quand même un peu. Si on continue la comparaison avec son prédécesseur, on pourrait également parler du manque de générosité au passage. Que ce soit au niveau de son contenu limité et du fan service. L’histoire n’a aucun intérêt si ce n’est renier ce qui différencie les comics des mangas. Et devant les animations honteuses des cinématiques, on se demande bien pourquoi Spike Chunsoft a décidé d’en mettre autant. Bandai Namco a promis de patcher le jeu dans les prochains jour pour optimiser les temps de chargement, rendre le jeu plus stable et permettre de sauter les cinématiques. C’est un bel effort qui ne suffira absolument pas à faire apprécier Jump Force.

Jump Force è tutto tranne ciò che ci si aspettava veramente: il titolo, povero di contenuti, immerge il giocatore in una monotonia onnipresente, tanto che non bastano le missioni e il matchmaking online per risollevare le sorti del gioco. A dare il colpo di grazia su una produzione così attesa ci pensano una narrazione davvero pessima ed un combat system "meno combat, più system" afflitto da un comparto tecnico datato. Anche i modelli dei personaggi sono pessimi nella realizzazione artistica, tanto da farli sembrare dei fantocci in gomma che comunicano telepaticamente tra loro. In sostanza, possiamo definire Jump Force come il primo e vero flop di questo ambizioso 2019.
